They will go above and beyond for you prior and on your day. I have nothing but wonderful and raving things to say about the staff at Taco Zone. It’s the talk of our friend group and work on how amazing the food was, which is always good to hear since wedding food is known for being average… but they were far from average. “Love this place. The atmosphere, service and the variety of great cuisine all make this my favorite place to dine, when I'm in Lawrence. I live in Johnson County, so my only complaint is that they don't have a location in Overland Park or Olathe! Mohammed always seems to make an effort to stop by the tables, to ensure all the guests are completely satisfied. The Raja dip is delicious, and you'll NEVER have a better glass of lemonade! There's even a bowl out in front of the building, for dogwalkers to stop by and give their furry friends a refreshing drink of water. (It's the little things). The KC location is equally as nice, but this spot is a gem on Mass Street, for sure.“

“My husband made patio reservations here for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing! We live an hour and half away and it was definitely worth the drive. I had the paella and my husband had the lamb that was on special and both dishes were great. I am not normally a fan of lamb but it was so yummy I would order it for myself. The dessert and cocktails were perfect and the staff was excellent.We haven't stopped raving about it since we were there. I highly recommend it and we will definitely make another trip to visit!“

“Had a great experience before leaving Lawrence this morning. The cafe we were planning on going to for breakfast was closed, so we went a couple storefronts down to Global Cafe. The weather was gorgeous and we ate outside. I had a fantastic smoothie and latte. In the time it took us to finish our meal, I watched as the waitstaff handed out no less than eight free to-go breakfasts and coffees to what appeared to be people without housing. From the interactions I witnessed, it was clear that these were regular customers, and the waitstaff treated them with such dignity - just like any other customer. Waiting tables is hard work anyway and it’s especially hard when it’s you first day and you don’t know the policy. Rick also reimbursed my meal and apologized. In short, They were quick to reach out and rectify the problem, which I am very grateful for and impressed. My faith in HuHot is restored and I will remain a faithful patron! Normally we have a very good experience, today… not so much! Had the WORST server I think I’ve ever had “Noah B”, or at least in the bottom 3. He did not visit our table 1 time until he brought the check, no refills. Then, I asked for a box. . . I had been through the line 1 time, had eaten about 5 bites when my stomach revolted (not because the food wasn’t good, I have a stomach issue that causes me to occasionally not be able to eat, unfortunately I don’t know it’s going to happen until I try to eat) I explained this to the server and he still would not let me have a box. So 1 whole meal wasted. It took him 8 minutes to make change for our bill, and then he shorted us $3. The cook was very polite and cooked our meal well. I don’t know if or when we will return to the Lawrence, KS HuHot, but it wont be anytime soon. Do better!“

“I had the Caprisi sandwich and a cup of coffee. I was slightly disappointed when I tried to pour the house blend, which turned out to be an empty pot. I decided on the only other dark roast available. I mentioned it to one of the staff behind the counter, and he seemed genuinely concerned that the pot was left empty.
I sat down and enjoyed the sun coming through the windows and the excellent sandwich. To my surprise, a few moments later, the gentleman from behind the counter brought me a fresh cup of the house coffee. I really appreciate his thoughtfulness and excellent service, it made my day.“

“INSANE large menu, with sushi, ramen, even Korean food. The owner is creative and puts anything she wants on her menu. General Tso’s pizza served on a green onion pancake. I’ve also had amazing eggplant and pork green beans from here. I like this place. Not perfect - it’s kinda slow service sometimes - but it’s good, and you can get any Asian food option you want.“
