“It's a poké place but I go for the ramen. The stuff is addictive and I'm forcing myself to NOT go because I can't eat ramen every day. But the poké itself is great too! And there are lots of cooked options for people who are afraid of raw fish.“
“Nice option with some authentic choices. Not at all crowded. Well lit, large dining area with no booths. We were served promptly. Some domestic beer choices. Pad Thai had very thick noodles, not my favorite. Mild taste even with spices. Appetizer was adequate. I will go back.“
“Went here with my wife and my 17-year-old nephew on a third a Sunday afternoon to dine in. The atmosphere was so comfortable and cozy. For appetizers we got the popcorn chicken, potstickers, and some kind of shrimp crispy thing that was incredible. Actually, all of the appetizers were great. I got the Sydney roll and frankly it is the best sushi I've had in Kansas in the past 12 to 13 years I've been living here , my wife and nephew got some fried sushi which I normally don't like at all, but was actually pretty good, they said it was absolutely delicious. I would come here every week cannot recommend highly enough. The service was extremely friendly, attentive, and personal.“

“I went here by accident and, boy, am I glad I did. It was a hot day and I was waiting for someone to meet me at the corner. I couldn't resist the pull of this charming shop, This is a small shop. There is just room for a few tables and a few chairs. The smallness adds to the ambiance and you know you will get personalized service.The server was super helpful and he explained all the processes very thoroughly. I ordered a peppermint tea and it was delicious. I had a million questions over a single tea order but the server was very patient with me. At the time there was no one else in the shop because it was close to closing time. That made the experience even more special. I got to browse and shop at my leisure while the magical tea was being brewed. They sell all sorts of tea accessories. Strainers, spoons, loose tea in a number of varieties. This shop is easily accessible. Parking is tricky downtown but there is a huge parking lot across the street. There are metered spots right out in front of the shop. Prices seemed very reasonable. I didn't think anything was overpriced especially when you consider the quality of what you are getting. The tea was so good, I've tried to replicate it at home but I don't have the magic touch.“
“The service was great - kind, quick, helpful! The restaurant was clean and cool. The food was hot and cooked well but quite bland. We went home and added sauces to each of the menu items we purchased. Don't be afraid to add more flavor, heat!“
“EDIT TO ADD: Rick, the general manager contacted me same day and was amazing! Come to find out, Noah was brand new that day so, I understand the issue with the service. Waiting tables is hard work anyway and it’s especially hard when it’s you first day and you don’t know the policy. Rick also reimbursed my meal and apologized. In short, They were quick to reach out and rectify the problem, which I am very grateful for and impressed. My faith in HuHot is restored and I will remain a faithful patron! Normally we have a very good experience, today… not so much! Had the WORST server I think I’ve ever had “Noah B”, or at least in the bottom 3. He did not visit our table 1 time until he brought the check, no refills. Then, I asked for a box. . . I had been through the line 1 time, had eaten about 5 bites when my stomach revolted (not because the food wasn’t good, I have a stomach issue that causes me to occasionally not be able to eat, unfortunately I don’t know it’s going to happen until I try to eat) I explained this to the server and he still would not let me have a box. So 1 whole meal wasted. It took him 8 minutes to make change for our bill, and then he shorted us $3. The cook was very polite and cooked our meal well. I don’t know if or when we will return to the Lawrence, KS HuHot, but it wont be anytime soon. Do better!“

“We loved the Korean beef loaded fries! we have ordered from here multiple times now and it's perfect everytime. Oh, and the avocado salsa is a must. Tasted amazing with the Carne asada tacos. the customer service was wonderful and they were so helpful with recommendations. I love supporting local lawrence businesses and I'm so happy we found this place.“
