Brewhouse salad is amazing 👏
Must have been an off night for the kitchen, waited 83 minutes after placing our order for the food to be served. Disappointed in the food
Boogiedown Roll was so good!! Never had anything quite like it. I’m sad that it’s only available on tap.

I was served a salad being bombarded by gnats and when I told the waiter, he said the manager would be notified; they did nothing.

We had a chance to have dinner with our grandson at KU. He thought we would enjoy Free State, and he was right. The new Orleans pasta is amazing. Thick,chessey Mac and cheese with the perfect amount of chicken added. If you leave Free State hungry or thirsty, it is your own fault because they gave great food, drinks, and service.

Agh, it hurts to admit Free State is no longer my "go to" in Lawrence. I was honestly embrassed after recommending and talking it up it to people last weekend - then we all go and have a bad experience. Service, especaially the host, was less then stellar. Food was okay, but there are so many other great options near by now a days. Of note, the goat cheese appetizer was delicious, but only enough bread to eat about half of the dip.
