Great brew pub in downtown Lawrence. Good food selection, and they make a great beer. I prefer the copperhead ale, but they have a large number on offer.Parking: It's downtown Lawrence. Parking is just an issue. You browse until you get lucky, then you swoop like a vulture.
What in the world! We stopped in to try some beer, not expecting delicious food as well! The beers were amazing, ice cold and delicious. The pretzel board...great goodness, and the goat cheese, incredible! Every bite and every sip, perfect. The service was friendly and quick, despite having a full house. Local customers were friendly and welcoming, adding to the experience.A beer for everyone, and food all will enjoy! Stop in!Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time.Explore everything!!
They have THE BEST fish and chips you’ll find anywhere. Staff are always friendly and this is one of my favorite places to have lunch.One thing though is I wish they had more dessert options
Went with two friends to celebrate my birthday, had the Jaegerschnitzel and Mash along with their oatmeal stout, easily the best meal I've had since I've been back in Kansas. Our server was incredibly friendly, and the second level they have for dining was amazing, with large windows giving a great view of Mass Street to our left and a view of their brewing equipment to our right. 100% will be back the next time I'm in Lawrence.

We are long-time Free State Brewery fans. The veggie burger was always my favorite but it seems to be a new recipe now, which I'm a little disappointed over. My husband swears by the Fish 'n Chips and says it's the best he's ever had. Overall, we love our trips to the Brewery! Always a fun and lively atmosphere.

I travel for work and so I'm always looking for unique places. This was a Great Experience!! Started with the Spanish Baked Goat Cheese and then the Farm Sausage Tortellini witha Flight of beer. Had enough to take back to the hotel for 2 more meals.Also, asked my server, Sawyer, to choose my beers. She use Great judgment on the beer and was very attentive . Wish I lived closer than Michigan!Parking: The city of Lawrence is WAY TOO fond of its parking meters!!!
I've been coming here for almost two decades. This isn't a passing craze like a lot of breweries popping up all over; rather a place that brews iconic beer, and prepares incredible food. Service is always on point. Have taken several folks from work here, and always a home run.
