they dont know how to make sushi no taste and no taste the rolls was unroll. like a kid making the sushi rolls. I wont come back for sure to spend my money. this is the third place I went in Lawrence,KS. is really bad. maybe their food is good for college kids. I visit Lawrence very often my grownup kid lives there.

Overall, the sushi was decent but I wish the rice had some more rice vinegar. The service was friendly but a bit slow, even on a Monday night. The gyoza was alright, but the fried scallops and the takoyaki were pretty good. At least the filling-to-rice ratio was good since many AYCE sushi places typically have more rice than filling. At least it was nice and modern in the inside.

Best sushi I've had in Lawrence but the to-go order came with no chopsticks or soy sauce

good food, a little pricey. our server was great but there are multiple times where I clearly waved to the two hostesses standing near the stand to ask a question and they blatantly ignored me. other than that, its decent sushi in a comfortable restaurant. we got the ikura roll and chiefs roll. the smaller one is a philly roll. for two people, two specialty rolls + a simple roll is enough food.

Great spot for all you can eat sushi, especially the lunch special. Nice ambiance & staff; relatively quick. The quality of sushi is fine given the quantity they make. Would definitely go back!

Stopped by for a meal with my mom and sisters on a Saturday. Wasn't too crowded. Service could be more attentive but otherwise really enjoyed the food.

I have been a semi-frequent customer ever since they opened, and their food is nothing short of spectacular. Their AYCE sushi is very worth the price, and the sushi rolls are very delicious. I recommend the KC chiefs roll, and the eel nigiri. I like that they have a good playlist of kpop songs, very mindful. The host was also very sweet and although the staff doesn't look very experienced in doing their job, they tried their best. The only downside to this place is that it gets full very, very quickly and service gets a little slow, but that's a small tradeoff for the best sushi in Lawrence.

this place rocks! i ordered a spicy tuna roll, gyoza dumplings, and the money bags on doordash. service was super quick and the food is delicious! the spicy tuna has the perfect texture and the gyoza are super flavorful. the moneybags are pretty good too, but the other items are amazing.

Had a delivery order of shrimp tempura and nigiri sushi- The tempura was not good at all batter was not real tempura batter, The sushi fish was sliced way to thick and you had about use a knife to bite off a piece, and it tasted too much like it came from the river- kind of a muddy taste , I don’t think I will order again -

Upon entering, I thought it would be your run-on-the-mill sushi joint, but Gaia is slightly more than that. The atmosphere feels like you're a standard, corporate American college town establishment with your college-aged host/hostess who is itching like a fen to get back on their phones but is controlling their urge by overexpressing generosity. On the other hand, the servers were a delight despite racing around to serve as many guests as possible. Their pork gyoza is okay, nothing out of the ordinary. The sushi rice on both the LFK and Philaphedila rolls was of high quality. I didn't want to stop eating them, primarily due to the rolls' ginormous sizes. I am so glad Gaia stepped up and exceeded my initial expectations. Downtown Lawrence needed it!
