Great Blue Heron Outdoors

I got a gift certificate for them from my daughter. First time in store! Loved it. Great store for downtown Lawrence!

This was the best coffee I’ve ever had. I travel often and love finding obscure local coffee shops and this hit the mark. I couldn’t be happier. The shop is very clean, bright, and organized. The barista was very friendly. They have the widest selection of Xero shoes I’ve ever seen, which was a very cool surprise for me. I kind of expected them to just have hot drip coffee even though I’m an iced latte gal, but they absolutely delivered! Don’t underestimate this local gem!!

I got to say great environment to hang around at. Good coffee and staffs pretty good.

The tea was served hot in a very cool environment. ;-) Friendly staff, hardwood floor, socks, books, and much more...plenty o' flies (tied) and supplies, so get wise and make your visit announced or a surprise ! :-) -Brian W.

This coffee shop was nice and relaxing but it's more of a grab and go. They have a lot of beautiful outdoor stuff as well. Coffee was nice.

We purchased our first kayak from GBH and I couldn't have been happier with the boat or the customer service. We are new to kayaking and were very appreciative to have received expert advise from friendly people. The GBH staff wanted to make sure that we got exactly what we were looking for. I would definitely recommend GHB for your kayaking/canoeing/fishing needs. Oh and great coffee too!

Excellent barista! Also, I purchased two washable wool blankets at this establishment. Great value at a reasonable price.

Eclectic little spot! Good coffee (lattes, cold brew, etc) and lots of small items for a fishing and camping enthusiast.

Blueberry cobbler cold brew with some oat milk is super cool, refreshing, with a hint of sweetness. Service is awesome. Cool atmosphere it being an outdoors store.

I LOVE Great Blue Heron. I've been sitting at the counter all morning working on some homework and have noticed how kind the staff is. Caroline the barista is so personable, remembering everyone's orders and asking them about their day. There is such a sense of community here! There are many regulars who come in. Bob the owner is very knowledgeable about everything Blue Heron and outdoors! I also really admire their no tipping policy, because they pay their employees a fair wage. If you do want to tip they donate that money to local causes they support! ALSO the coffee if THE BEST in town, like actually!! 10/10 recommend!!

The coffee is always phenomenal, might I say the best in Lawrence. :)The service is always awesome, and I enjoy being able to look at all the fly rods, flys, reels, rods, etc.

Great coffee- hip tunes- fun atmosphere! Love that you have a bar to hang out at! Will be back!
