This coffee shop has a very cozy, yet eclectic vibe. It reminds me of a classic coffee shop, where men could once smoked cigars while drinking a good brew. All of such before the groovy crowd took over. So, yes, this place calls to mind nostalgia, but with ambiance from various past decades, yet now with a new generational pull. The barista behind the counter was attentive, and seemed to manage more than one customer that came in at a time. The spots to sit are varied from small two people tables to a nice small length table where one could sit on a bench seat for a while and work for a bit, but not for long since it's not very comfortable. I had taken an image of the area. My husband and I wanted to find a coffee shop that stays open late, such as this one does, and we wanted something like a baked item of some sort, but unfortunately this place is just coffee. My husband had the medium Hawaiian drip, and I had the Columbian light roast. We both liked our small drip in a mug coffee.

I love stopping by whenever I can. I don’t even drink coffee, most of the time I order a hot chocolate. The atmosphere reminds me so much of when I lived in Italy and I feel so comfortable studying at this cafe! Staff are so patient with my indecisiveness and they all seem so cool.

Went there with friends and was having a good time when I was pressured by one of the baristas to buy something even though we only just sat down 15 minutes earlier. I was allegedly taking up space from potential customers. This really ruined our conversation and everyone that I was with said I was effectively bullied into getting a drink at that moment, instead of waiting for our conversation to finish to do so.

La Prima Tazza is my favorite spot for coffee in Lawrence. The baristas are always kind, the coffee is great, and the atmosphere is cute and cozy. Great study or book reading spot. Cute dog named Noodles may occasionally saunter over to you for a quick pet. My only thing is that they have got to figure out the fly problem. Every time I’m there I am swatting them away. Would still give 5 stars, but this is definitely something needing attention. Love y’all ?

La Prima Tazza is an awesome coffee shop!I really enjoy the tasty flavors of coffee they have. Always presented very artfully... Speaking of art, they feature local artists as well! The pottery I found there was from a local fella. Really beautiful stuff.The baristas are always kind, and friendly.The place itself is rather small, with limited seating, but the giant windows really let in some happy natural light, and allow for some quality people watching of Mass Street.They do sell various types of bulk coffee, and often have a snack or two of baked good by the register.
Cozy atmosphere and great selection of beans. It definitely feels like specialty coffee. The Ethiopian cold brew is so flavorful that I didn’t even consider adding any sugar or sweeteners. A+ customer service and coffee knowledge.
