Pepperjax has been my favourite since I was in middle school. When I moved to Lawrence, I was estatic to find out that there was a Pepperjax, as the one in my hometown closed down during COVID. The philly and the nachos are always my go-to for a good cheat meal or a studying all-nighter.

Wow, this place has gone downhill. Grease covering the TV menus, dirty floors, bread wasn’t even toasted, and we moved seats twice because we were being swarmed with flies. We counted 11 flies (alive) sitting on the floor next to us at one point. There was no silverware stocked on the counter. One of the male cooks had a full head of hair down to his shoulders with no hairnet on. I couldn’t help but predict finding a piece of curly hair in food. I will definitely not be coming back here.

Love this place! Fast and friendly and they have some great deals every week it was really busy when I went but it didn't matter flew through the line and got our food it was hot and tasted amazing it's a five out of five all they way around stop by here for some great food and a great atmosphere!!!

Was on the way from a road trip and stopped to grab food, for such a cool looking restaurant I'm just appaled, not mad just dumbfounded, I found red hairs in my chicken bowl, not like ginger hairs like a bunch of strand of cherry red hairs. I didn't even see anyone with red hair or hair out of a hair net rofl, weirdly food was good, cold of course by time I got to it after getting on the road but still good, just curious. Does pepperjax make wigs too?

Food was good. could have been more for the price. Especially when folks are splitting the meal.
My sandwich was very soggy with butter, I think he used about 1/2 cup of butter for the little bit of meat he cooked up, thanks to veggies it fill the middle of the bun, the sides of bun didn’t have any meat. The top bun was crinkle. It just didn’t taste the same as I remember. This place always my go to place to eat when I can’t make up my mind where to eat, it always hit the spot. Sadly I won’t be coming back any time soon.

Food was great, thank you. The three or four people behind the counter knew what they were doing and they were very helpful and patient. But something was wrong with the are handling equipment in the dining room. It was weird; smoke? We had trouble breathing and we had to leave.

The Philly is always great. But I don't know if I will be going back again after tonight. Placed an order online for pickup at 6:40 and didn't have the order completed until 7:10. There was only 2 people working so I tried giving some grace but when you're helping walk ins and carry out and the employees aren't on the same page it makes the waiting even longer. Should've just went in and ordered as they helped 5 walk ins before even starting on my order as I was sitting there.
Always a great place to eat while in town.
