The food was very good, the dining area was neat & tidy, the service was good & the restrooms very clean. It's just a little bit pricey.

Food is excellent. Might have been the most perfectly cooked fries I've ever had. Perfectly crisp. Service was a little slow, but I think the waitress was in training still.

Today I have the shepherd's pie special for lunch and it was delicious. I especially liked the fresh ground lamb, fresh ingredients, attentive service, nice atmosphere. I if you haven't been for a while I'd highly recommend trying the holiday mules and specials created by Chef Mark, and recommend reservations for groups. You won't be disappointed. I've greatly enjoyed every meal that I've had these last few months. Well worth the trip!

Horrible Thanksgiving Buffet, and at nearly $350 for 5 people. I'll never go there again. Wrote a lengthier review on their

This was my go-to date night spot until recently. It appears that there is a new chef who has made some less than stellar menu changes. The new options have replaced some of the best meals I’ve ever had and are not impressive. The pasta I had was bland and the presentation was sad. My dining partner felt the same way about the meal he ordered. It’s a beautiful restaurant and my only complaints about the atmosphere is that they would benefit from some sound dampening. If it’s even half busy it’s difficult to have a conversation. The noise is very uncomfortable when the dining room is full. I’ve been brought the wrong cocktail on at least two occasions. But other than that, service is great and I understand that mistakes happen.

I love this old hotel. The rooms are very spacious with a separate bedroom and sitting room. The bar is lively and the bartender is great. I stay here every time I go to Lawrence. It is located near very good restaurants and shops and I love exploring downtown Lawrence

Met here twice to watch KU basketball with a large group and both times we had a grand time—it helps that KU won, but also the staff in the bar/restaurant helped make our time pleasant as well. Don’t miss going into the basement of the hotel to check out the Big 6 room where you can see the old-timey mascots from the days when KU was in the Big 6 conference! Super cute. @kimyarla

Historic hotel in downtown Lawrence. The atmosphere is great. Excellent food and staff friendly service. A grill room and adjacent more quiet formal dining available. Street parking can be challenging and perhaps the only real negative element of this location.

Never received such above-and-beyond customer service in my life. The rooms were beautiful, and the hotel was full of history. The Eldridge is worth every penny with its prime location in the heart of mass street.

Top Notch. ? As expected. The Jayhawker has a unique atmosphere that subtlety hints towards a fine dining experience full of historical nostalgia. Settled in the lobby of The Eldridge Hotel. With its wide varity of top shelf spirits and wine and a selection of beers to quench the thirst of anyone's pallette that seeks out such pleasures. Has become a destination of Kansas University Alumni and tourist far and wide to bask in its brilliant glory.Staff was excellent. And they have a valet service.$$$10/10 ? 's?????

Disappointing for the price. We got the Honeymoon suite for New Years and it was just okay. Nice size room but nothing fancy, especially for the price. Being right on Mass Street is convenient. The dinner was hectic due to some staff calling out which is to be expected, but even after making reservations for the special dinner we still waited 20-30 minutes for a table. The lobby is beautiful, but there is no parking on site. Don't think we will be staying here again.
