Sushi lunch was flavorless and rubbery, California roll was super light on the crab. Very disappointing, this place used to be very good. Service was ok.

Sushi should be a visual experience as well as tasty. This was not a good visual experience at all. The sushi maker (can't call him a chef yet) doesn't have a clue about making sushi rolls. They were uneven, the seaweed did not come around to meet. Uneven in every sense. Yet the price is still high. Disappointed.

Funny to be reviewing a sushi restaurant because I honestly do not like sushi at all. Same with sashimi. Yuck! However, I caved to peer pressure and went to eat at Yokohama and enjoyed it very much. There was plenty of selections on the menu for those of us not trendy enough to like sushi. It is a texture thing for me and not one of taste. There were all sorts of options for normal Japanese food. I liked how they had a simple menu that did not include pages and pages of choices. Basic and simple menu that was full of flavorful options. The tempora appetizer was very good and not greasy. It included both veggies and prawns which was a nice selection. For the main course, I ordered the Tai Katsu which is fried red snapper. It was delicious and cooked just right. Again, it was not overly greasy and simply yummy. Both food choices I had here were very tasty. My co-workers equally enjoyed their meals but they had been here before. The restaurant is nicely decorated and not oriental gaudy. This is a small space but it is arranged so that you do not feel crammed into a table. The servers were all very nice and helpful. They answered my questions and took care of our needs. The prices are very reasonable, as well. This is not some high end overpriced sushi restaurant. They seemed to be busy and there are always cars in the parking lot. Parking is easy in, easy out. You park in a big private lot in front of the restaurant. You do not have to worry about metered parking or traipsing through a parking garage which is always nice. Good food, nice staff, reasonably priced and easy parking. Life at Yokohama is good!

I went to Yokohama Sushi for lunch today (09 MAY 2019). The place was clean, the waiter was friendly, and the food arrived in a timely manner. I liked the atmosphere and decorations as well. I ordered the Chicken Katsu lunch special, which was pretty good. I thought that the rice and side salad helped the meal be more balanced along with the fried meat.
