This is my favorite coffee shop in town. They have a well curated latte & mocha menu. They offer unique seasonal drinks as well. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The dine in area is cozy yet spacious. And yet they still offer the convenience of drive through which is nice.

I love going to this place, especially when Colton is working. The coffee is really good quality, but Colton makes coming to Z's enjoyable and fun. He is always working really hard, being kind, funny, and positive. :) Also, the coffee I got today was FIRE!

I came here a couple times and a young gentleman was very nice and made great lattes. I went in to get a latte and pick up some bagels I had pre-ordered one day, and a young lady was working the coffee bar and made my coffee and then intentionally ignored me for almost 20 minutes as I was just waiting to pay. I had to try multiple times to get her attention and when I finally did, she was very rude to me and blamed me for not getting her attention even though I had been trying. The whole experience was so bizarre that it put me off of returning. (Also, my bagels that I ordered days ahead, were not ready :( )

The atmosphere inside is warm and inviting, making it a comfortable place to sit and relax or catch up with friends. On top of the coffee, their fresh New York–style bagels are a standout and pair perfectly with any drink.
What really makes Z’s special is that it feels genuinely local. Friendly service, quality drinks, and attention to detail all come together to create a place that feels familiar and welcoming. It’s easy to see why so many people consider this a go-to coffee spot in Lawrence.
Highly recommend if you want great coffee, good food, and a relaxed, friendly environment.

Added a tip without my permission. Ordered the smallest coffee and a biscuit with egg (no cheese) and spent $11. I thought the price was too high, then got an email confirming they added their own tip to the total. Lost my business for good.
