We had the vegan pad Thai and vegan drunken noodles and they were incredible. Some of the best Thai we’ve had we found here in this little city.

We went for an early dinner, and the food was excellent! It’s been a long time since I’ve had authentic Thai food that wasn’t Americanized, and the flavors were spot on. The balance of spicy and sweet was perfect. We tried the papaya salad, basil wings, and chicken pad Thai. The basil wings were okay, but the papaya salad and pad Thai were absolutely amazing!

This is my favorite Thai restaurant for several reasons. Great food, love the Black Magic and Angry Cowboy. Most of all really kind and honorable staff. My daughter with ID/DD left her purse behind and we couldn’t figure out where she hd left it. One night the doorbell rings in Platte City and they had driven it to our house to drop it off once they found it.

The entrance is in the back. I ordered Baan Thai drunken chicken noodles, pad Thai with beef, and the appetizer sampler. The sampler came with chicken saute, crab ragoon, egg rolls and spring rolls. The crab ragoon was just cream cheese I couldn't find any crab. It was very big but with little filling. Tasty but I wanted crab in my crab ragoon. Everything else in the sampler tasted great. I didn't like the pad Thai. It didn't taste like any pad Thai I have ever had. However it could be the way it's really made and I've had the American version but they are definitely different. The drunken noodles were delicious just amazing. Definitely order that.

Dined in for lunch with two friends. Great food. Great service. Good value.

Update 08/02/25 - My wife and I had the crazy noodles, crab fried rice, spring roll , and crab rangoon at about 3:00PM. Food was great (fresh and fast). Service was excellent as well. Support local!

“Sticky Seats & Meh Eats – Not Exactly Thai’d Over”

I came in hungry and hopeful, armed with dreams of rich curry and wok-kissed noodles. I left with a mild case of disappointment… and possibly a layer of mystery-stickiness on my shoes.

I ordered the Pad See Ew and Tom Kha soup, two of my go-to Thai comfort dishes. The Pad See Ew? Kinda sad see ew. Noodles were limp, sauce was forgettable, and the whole thing felt like it wanted to be bold but ended up just… beige. The Tom Kha had all the creamy coconut promise, but tasted like it missed a few key ingredients—and maybe a hug. Not the worst I’ve ever had, but certainly not a reason to come back.

Now let’s talk ambiance: hot, humid, and suspiciously sticky. Every surface, including the air, felt like it had been lightly coated in sweet chili glaze and never wiped down. The chairs were being held together with duct tape—literal tape—and the whole place gave off “last-minute garage sale” energy.

Service? Not rude, but definitely not warm. It felt less like being served and more like interrupting someone’s day. Quick, blunt, and not particularly welcoming. I wasn’t expecting a five-star experience, but I’d at least like to feel like my presence wasn’t a burden.

Honestly, I’ve been to a lot of Thai spots, and this one just didn’t hit. Based on the number of glowing reviews, maybe folks around here haven’t had truly standout Thai food. Or maybe they’re grading on a curve. Either way, I’m probably not coming back unless someone else is buying.

Food is really good for Thai. The service was excellent. The restaurant was definitely Thai but it’s also very dated like the decor is 40 years old and sun-washed. I can’t remember our waiter’s name but every recommendation tasted great.
