I've been excited to try this place and just drove there for lunch. CLOSED. I would suggest they post correct hours if they want happy customers.

Holy cow! Best freaking chicken salad sandwich I've ever had! I had a whole one on rye with mayo and whole grain mustard, all the veg, and added bacon ???? Recommend! It's in a weird spot and hidden away but was worth making the trip while I was running around!!

Parking: It's in a bank parking lot. Park in the lot and walk in the front door of the bank. The cafe door will be on the right :)

Very homey and charming with bomb baked goods. We loved the fresh baked bread. Turkey club on wheat and egg salad on light rye was very good. So was the carrot cake. This was great take out to get on the way to Shawnee Mission lake

Another hidden gem inside the Central Bank building in Lenexa.

Simply homemade sandwiches, rotating homemade soups and scratch desserts. And the best hack - they put their homemade bread heels in a basket that you can grab for your soup.

I got a 2 meat sandwich, with corned beef & pastrami, on white. Incredible.

You will not find a better chicken salad sandwich anywhere! Get it with the bacon as well. I like one slice rye and one slice wheat.

Bread is baked fresh every morning. Soups are also amazing. The baked potato soup is my favoriate.

Vegetarian options: They have salad options and vegetarian soups

Went in today as I used to frequent the old place on Antioch. Order was great however, when I asked about the other locations the owner mentioned that since the "mockidemic" they had to close them. I know two people that suffered and died from covid and it was all I could muster to keep my mouth shut. I wanted to punch the guy in the face. Will not be coming back wacko. The atmosphere and food was great along with the sandwich maker but money taking owner needs to spend a couple weeks on a ventilator.

I stopped by to grab a bite in the afternoon probably about 30 minutes before close, so I was a bit worried that the quality of service or food might be lacking a bit, but man was I wrong. The guy working the counter (who I assumed was the owner) was exactly the type of guy you want to have working with customers at a small business. He was outgoing and funny and just generally radiated a certain dad energy that lit up the place. He also gave me a free drink upgrade and a slice of delicious pound cake for no charge which I thought was pretty great. My sandwich was also delicious, and just like everyone says, the bacon is amazing. I will definitely be coming back.

I've been coming to this place for 13 years now, starting back when they were at the mastin & college location next to the double tree. I love their sandwiches, I always get the club. The BLT is also fantastic. Probably the best BLT I've ever had. The bacon is thick cut and amazing, the bread also appears to be baked fresh daily and is exceptionally good. The soups are also way above average if you get them early while they are still fresh. They are usually only open for lunch, and I wouldn't recommend coming in much after the lunch rush because sometimes they run low on ingredients or close early if it's slow, but I personally have never had a bad experience here. Probably my favorite sandwich shop in KC
