Mid food. Bland- no flavor… looks good.
Cozy. But floors aren’t swept and tables rarely clean before they sit you down. Service is okay… could do a better job at checking in on your table to see if the food is good or if you need more of something.
I had the breakfast skillet that had the works! It was very good and fresh. I loved the inside of it. It was large with plenty of sitting. If someone was by themselves they had a large bar you could also sit at. It was very clean, I enjoyed the vibe and atmosphere. My server was Jade and she was amazing! She was attentive to each of her tables and made sure we all had everything we needed! I really loved it that they give you a coffee carafe at your table as well as a large glass cobtainer water filled with water! This will be one I will return to when in this area!!!

Shack Lenexa food quality has gone downhill since opening. Maybe they've changed vendors, or perhaps the cooks or both. Regardless, our last two visits we have had to send back our food: both times it was barely warm.
Sausage patties have a strange texture to them as do the scrambled eggs.
Last two visits they appeared to be way understaffed as well and the apathy of the servers - and manager - is pretty obvious.
It's a shame. This place used* to rock.

Not sure what has happened with this place. We used to love it, but the last few times we've been there have been mediocre at best. It wasn't very busy this morning, but we sat there for a good 10 minutes before we saw our server. Another 20 minutes before our food was delivered, and it was barely warm. He took it back and returned pretty quickly with new dishes. The B-N-G was so salty, I couldn't eat it (and I like my food salty). The bacon was a weird rubbery texture, and the scrambled eggs were just plain weird and hard. When the server asked if I wanted a to go box, I told him it wasn't very good, so he sent the manager over. She was nice enough to comp the meal but didn't ask what was wrong with the food. We won't be back to this location any time soon.

The service was slow and inattentive. The food was average at best but cost more than average.

I ordered biscuits and gravy and the gravey was the consistency of milk with sausage in it.

We had the absolute pleasure of being served by Braiden, and I can honestly say he went above and beyond to make our dining experience unforgettable. From the moment we were seated, he was incredibly pleasant, thoughtful, and attentive. He didn’t just check in on us, he genuinely made sure we were comfortable the entire time.
Braiden anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, and he went out of his way multiple times to ensure everything was perfect. His kindness, professionalism, and genuine care stood out in a way that’s rare to find. Service like this takes a great meal and turns it into a memorable experience.
We left not only impressed by the food but even more grateful for the exceptional service. Braiden is truly an asset to the team, and we will absolutely be returning and asking for him again!

McKayla our server was awesome. She brought drinks with kid lids without us even asking. She brought lots of napkins. She was so joyful and kind.
I had her for our women’s Bible study group and she was amazing then too.
