“I would always tell people of Kansas that if they had not seen the beauty of the Konza Prairie? It was shameful (said in jest…kinda). Now there is another. Aggieville has one place (to me) that holds special memories being at the beginning of a business opening called ZL Smoothie. I was thankful to be there at the right time and place to meet Joe. I came back again for Halloween to see more of this business opening. It was the best and I posted a pic of him in his Pokémon suit giving candy! I felt his instant kindness radiate. From a business family background, He has an amazing head on his shoulders. I asked him to get customer feedback with the grand opening menu. Humility present, he did and college kids spoke up. I still remember him texting me the new exquisite menu a few months later. That is what made his business excel. HIM.And with Batman, there is Robin.His sidekick, Ervin, is a breath of fresh air. Well they both are but Ervin has a trait to make you feel happy even when you want to be anything but.They will LISTEN to what you want in terms of a boost of energy, some mental focus, a smoothie before a workout…(my yummy “throw in shake” of long ago gave me an extra 3 miles, making it 10 on the Konza. I could NOT have done that run at all without Joe helping me. And it was one of my last. And I’ll be forever grateful to him for that)I have used the CBD gummies and they do help immensely if you have minor sleep issues. My favorite is the Hemp balm and I challenge ANYONE to find another product that will take aches away like that. My days are done of “Konza Kate”. But I do not think it is a coincidence that businesses shuttered and he is still thriving. His heart is positive and is faithful and still being in Aggie is not by chance. The soldiers I helped all know where to get a good pre-workout smoothie, and friends from the Konza (I ran with tons) all know where to go to help them run the miles I did. *secret sauce, and K state students from churches I go to love their study smoothies. (I’ve been kept up on the new flavors)This review is LONG overdue. When you run a business with honor and grace, It’s a recipe for success. You reap what you sow, Joe.
