I have been a customer since this place opened my freshman year of college. When I visit Manhattan, I always try to eat at RBD at least once during my stay. Thank you for nearly 40yrs of great food and friendly service. Makes Manhattan feel like home every visit. 😃
Rich runs a tight ship here, and its not your typical sandwich shop or bar. Be sure to read the menu, because here, a Rueben has mustard! You will learn, its a better fit, after you try it. Competing with the local folks is a daily struggle, but they don't bite hard. Rock-A-Belly is an alumni favorite, and for a good reason: the sandwiches are fat, and the drinks still have alcohol in them.
Very small but very cool space. Very good liquor selection, beer selection isn't extensive. Service was friendly, quick, and attentive. Larger groups may not find enough indoor seating during busy hours.
