On December 13 I ordered a 3 pack for my Dad's Jan 7 birthday, thought I would put them in the freezer until then. The promised ship date was December 18. Honestly, in the Christmas rush, I forgot all about the order. When my Dad arrived the week before his birthday, it suddenly hit me that the povitica had never arrived. I called the company and spoke with 3 different people who all assured me it would ship immediately. I let them all know that if it didn't arrive at my home by January 13th, I'd prefer a return, since I was heading out of the country and wouldn't be home for 2 weeks. Guess what arrived when I was gone? No refund. No follow up. No satisfaction.

Have you been to this bakery?! It is world-renowned, and right in our own backyards! What a treat for us. I remember buying these breads and having them shipped to us, when we lived in San Diego. Now I can just stop by, taste their samples, and buy one fresh. Look at the stuffed layers, wrapped inside delicate, thin pastry. You will be a favored guest if you show up to a party with one of these contributions. Or a successful hostess if you place one of these awe-invoking dishes on the table. Plan to stop by and watch the bakers in process. It is fascinating to watch them work their magic!

THE RESPONSE BELOW FROM THE OWNER IS A LIE!!!! THEY HAVE NOT TALKED TO ME OR CONTACTED ME IN ANY WAY!!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS LIAR!!!! I have ordered hundreds of dollars of this companies' products over the last few years. In the past, their service was impeccable. However, over the past few months, this has changed. Here are the two issues that they have declined to resolve: 1. I ordered a total of 8 loaves of povitica from them for Valentine's Day. 6 were the smaller loaves. That order was correct. In a separate order, I ordered two large loaves. One was a gift, so I don't know whether it was filled correctly. The other loaf was a large loaf for my family. Instead, I received a small loaf instead of the large loaf I paid for. When I contacted them on February 5th, sending a photo of what I received and a copy of their confirmation email, my email was ignored. I resent it and messaged it to them. All I got was a request for more information. I responded. It is now February 16th, and despite contacting them twice more, they are ignoring me. 2. Last fall I ordered a combo package as a gift. There was no way to request delayed shipping, and their phone was on an answering machine. I emailed and left a phone message with my request. I called the next morning as soon as they opened, as was told that it was too late. The order was already packaged and in the shipping pile. There was no apology...just a no. Luckily, the person I was sending it to was present to receive it, but I had no way to know that he would be. Due to the companies' sudden choice to be unresponsive, I am done doing business with them.

I received a loaf of of the english walnut for Christmas and I was so disappointed. It could not be served as when we sliced it it just broke into many small pieces. I don't know if it was just a bad loaf or this is the norm. I thought I would reach out to them on Facebook Messenger to give them a chance to make this right but there was no reply. I could never recommend this company to anyone after this bad experience. Update: After I posted this they responded below but they have not once tried to contact me. This comment is a lie trying to make their company look like they take care of their customers.

I love Povitica, I tried shipping it this Christmas & the first round went well, the second not so much. My order has now been in limbo for 8 days. I received help from the Supervisor & they are reshipping the order. Customer service is important when there is a glitch in shipping, particularly when you don't control the shipping.

Beware of delivery. I wanted it shipped to send on the 26th ( that was one of their options). Wasn’t sent on the 27 , not sent on the 28. I needed it delivered by the 1st- they said if I wanted it by the first, I would have to pay an additional $45 for shipping. Cancelled the order. I would think twice about ordering from here. Customer service wasn’t about the customer. I had been a very good customer but am now really disappointed

Ordered a Christmas gift to be sent to California but it ended up going to Connecticut. Called their customer service and s/w a Chris who actually told us it was our problem not theirs. I do not recommend this company as they do not stand by their service.
