Someday I need to check out some of the other local ice cream shops, but for now Betty Rae's is #1! Stopped by the Olathe location for the first time today because it was on my way home. I got lavender honey (one of my favs) with matcha. The matcha is good! The people working were friendly, but not overly. The store was clean & cute like their other locations.

We had ice cream there tonight and when I asked the young lady why there were 3 $1.00 charges added to our bill she said it was because we had sugar cones. We pointed to her sign which said waffle cones and waffle bowls were a dollar more and she said they had changed to all cones quite awhile ago and just haven't changed the sign yet.

This place is absolutely amazing!!! They have some neat choices, but I prefer the ai.ple cookies and cream myself. I love the fact that they have homemade waffle cones and 4 different choices of dairy free ice cream. Which is great for my husband, who is lactose intolerant!Dietary restrictions: They have 4 different options of dairy free ice cream!Kid-friendliness: They are ALL about kids and family!

Worst customer service ever! I was asked to repeat myself over and over while the young girl behind the counter wasn't paying the least attention to me or my children. We had to correct her over and over. She never made eye contact, walked away twice in the middle of our order, and got both orders wrong despite clear and concise communication on my end. There are too many great ice cream joints around to pay $10 for two tiny scoops of ice cream while being ignored and disrespected. Take your business elsewhere!

Betty Rae ice cream is the best I have ever tasted ! There brown butter pecan is the BEST !!! I come from California and my daughter know that’s all I want while I’m in Kansas . Delicious nothing better in ice cream.
A friend and I stopped in for the first time. Had a little wait but it was worth it. I had the Razz + Blue and the Chiefscake. They were both very good! My friend had the lavender honey which was delicious! I was hoping to try the carrot cake that I saw in pints in the refrigerator, so will definitely go back for it. Many interesting flavors to try. Highly recommend.
