GLUTEN FREE FRIED CHICKEN!!!
I have been a loyal "Strips" conissieur since Todd opened his doors in Olathe. I've been to every other location, but tonight, I decided to try the newest one in Lenexa. Atmosphere was wonderful. Nintendo units at every booth was a hit with my daughter; and to me too(some of the games were from my childhood). The outside deck that wraps around the east side of the building is inviting. Love the lighting.
Our wait time was what I expected for the meals we ordered. Service was excellent. Todd was there tonight and checked on us while we were waiting. We talked about a possible family connection from his past and my husband's and quickly turned to the topic of his new "star" of the show that he was debuting tomorrow night.....GLUTEN FREE FRIED ZUCCHINI!
Say what?!!!! He went back into the kitchen and cooked us up a batch for a private tasting. Wowza! So good! You cannot find this anywhere else....you will always see fried okra; of which I can never have. But THIS.......this is gluten free and it's zucchini!
I thanked him for bringing gluten free to the forefront of eating out.
This fried chicken ya'll is THE BOMB!
SERIOUSLY! Even if you do not need to eat GF, you need to try this and soon!
You will not regret it! Don't forget the flourless chocolate cake ta boot!

Was craving a pork tenderloin from Strip's Chicken & Brewing - Lenexa . Seriously delicious tenderloin and everything is so fresh. One of the best tenderloins you'll ever have. If you haven't stopped in to see how incredible the restaurant renovation is on Santa Fe down in old town Lenexa, it's quite a transformation. Treats ordered for supper this evening: pork tenderloin as mentioned, white chicken chili, mac.and cheese bowl with chicken strips, GF chicken nuggets and fries.
Oh and pro tip, get a bowl of white chicken chili, mix in some of those extra crispy GF fries and have a crazy good side treat with your order 😉

My husband and I went there for the first time recently. We were very impressed with the bartender/server. He was very kind, respectful and helpful and made my husband an outstanding mixed drink!
The chicken strips and tenderloin were outstanding! We will definitely be going back and highly recommend it to others!

This place is not really gluten free. False advertising!! My daughter was super sick after the first time we went but we had been out and about so I didn’t think it was the food since they advertise a special menu. Made the mistake of going again and this time she ended up in the hospital!! Stay away! False advertising!!

I just spend $65 here, on three meals, and they won't allow me any sauce. What a joke! Just nickel and diming the customer for sauce! I'd be embarrassed to be a part of such ownership. Then, want your employees to be tipped for drive through, bet its because you don't pay them enough. Just a hunch

Listen.. My husband brought me here and I had my doubts since I’m a picky eater and nothing ever satisfies me.. But this place is immaculate. Literally the best chicken I have ever put in my mouth. Customer service? 10/10. If I could give 50 stars I would. This food was amazing. The employee who took our order and that was at the window had amazing customer service. Definitely trained well as someone who works in customer service! I highly highly recommend this place. We waited a bit for our food but I completely understand why. This was made well. It was delicious. My drink was just a regular soda but it was delicious. 10/10. I’ll be coming here a lot more often.
I don't write reviews, but the urge to warn others about this nightmare of a chicken spot was too strong. From the moment I walked in, I could already tell though—nothing could quite prepare me for what lay ahead. First of all, the place smelled like a wet mop that hasn't been wrung out in weeks. The floors were sticky, and the tables had crumbs and stains from who knows how many other people. When I finally got my order, I couldn't believe what I was seeing. There was hair in my chicken. Not just a little strand, but a bunch of it, like someone hadn't cleaned a brush in ages. It was absolutely gross. The side of ranch was just the most disgusting thing I have ever put in my mouth—like it had been out for days and then further watered down to stretch it even more. To top it off, the beans sucked: cold, flavorless, and more like some sort of wet paste rather than a food. They had an awful, almost sour aftertaste that made me gag. And I would not be surprised if they were straight out of an expired can from last year.
As if that was not enough, the service was terrible. The employees seemed like they hated their lives, and it was reflected in their customer service. I had to wait for 20 minutes to receive my order, and guess what? When I asked for napkins, they gave me one crumpled sheet as though it was taken out of someone else's pocket and used. The soda machine was down, so I settled for some flat, warm cola from a 2-liter bottle they had behind the counter.
This place is a health hazard waiting to happen. I would not advise it to my worst enemy. Save yourself the trauma and find another spot for your chicken cravings. This place is nothing but a disaster.

I love strips, I am gluten intolerant and I love their gluten free options. I would say if you have celiac that you can't eat here because they do have food with gluten but if you are just not eating gluten then I would say eat here.
My favorite thing to get is the smashed potato bowl with the chicken nuggets and bacon. I also love their gluten free Mac and cheese.
