The Chicken House, nestled at the edge of the Flint hills, offers a friendly and casual atmosphere. The menu features delicious fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, as well as the renowned fried catfish, all at great value. Customers praise the excellent service and the old-school, well-executed dishes. The chicken is really great, and the chicken fried steak is outstanding. Their hamburger is also outstanding. The fried okra is highly recommended, and the green beans are the best anyone has ever eaten anywhere. Chicken livers/gizzards are delicious, and hashbrown potatoes are available with or without gravy. The Chicken House is listed as one of the Top Restaurants in the Nation, and a video is coming out about it. It's extremely kid-friendly and wheelchair accessible, with a very lg. Ribeye for a VERY reasonable price.
