Betware that Amie Bakery and Grill restaurant is no longer open. The online order still takes cards though and still indicates Amir. KC Kabob has moved into this location. The phone number listed is for KC Kabob and not Amir.

It's a small restaurant but we were greeted as if we were family. The cook personally made recommendations to us. The chicken sandwich was delicious! The baba ganoush melted in my mouth. Wonderful little restaurant.

I called in a large order of chicken and beef kabobs, and they had it ready at the exact time I asked for. Everything was flavorful, hot and fresh. I will definitely be back!

I've eaten at Amir's restaurants for years. Always delicious, never disappointed. The chicken kabob plate I ate at his new Metcalf location was exceptionally tasty, tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. The plate also included a delicious crisp salad, plus pita and humus. For me, the best chicken kabob I've had and I've eaten a lot of kabobs over the years.

This is hands down the worst restaurant I’ve ever been to. Salad was soggy and had cheap dressing. One bite and I pushed the plate away. The chicken “shawarma” plate wasn’t what I received. I don’t know what chicken seasoning was on this, but it wasn’t Mediterranean. No rice, hummus was lumpy and wasn’t good, chicken was awful. Soup and pita were decent. Honestly, a home cooked meal tasted better than this. For the first time in my life, I left a restaurant to go eat somewhere else after.

My girlfriend and I went yesterday around 6:30 not even realizing that they were closed. We walked in and, I didn't catch his name but, a nice man had told us he was closed. It was no problem so we looked for somewhere else to go in our car. As we're looking the man runs out to the car with pen and pad in hand and says he can take our order. Very generous to do that already and we were so excited. It didn't take long and he brought the food out to us and even gave us two Cokes! Having been in the service industry for the last 5 years I have never seen someone go out of there way to help a customer like this man did. I will definitely definitely be back to see this place when they're open.

Absolutely fantastic dining experience. I had the Chorizo scramble with pancakes and coffee, and this was the best breakfast I’ve had in Kansas City. I was caught off guard on how fresh everything was the peppers and tomatoes and onions seemed like they were just picked. Probably due to them coming from the farmers market. 10/10 would eat here again. If you’re ever near the market I recommend coming here it’s a short walk.

My first time dining in, it was my “Me” day, I took myself out to lunch ☺️, the two waitress/ cooks were nice, especially the Hispanic worker, he was very nice and friendly. The lentil soup were nice and warm to the mouth, the dish that I got ( chicken, rice, with hummus) Oh my goodness! The chicken touches my mouth! It was so soft, moist, & tasty! Add hot sauce for a little kick, it’s so good ? and the Wal nut pastry for dessert was amazing! Good with tea! Good customer service! Amazing job. ☺️

Had breakfast and took lunch to go for later, cause this girl LOVE gyros. The baklava is good, the breakfast is good but oh the gyros, the tzatziki don't even, it's delicious yum! They have coleslaw and it might have been cause I was eating breakfast but for me it was sweet, and creamier than what I am used to. When I ate it later though oh guys..............that is good. The cinnamon roll talk about culinary heaven. It was regret in the best way. They are open later now so stop by and eat some good food!

Dropped in for breakfast after the usual haunt were at capacity. The 3 meat and veggie omelette was fantastic! Hash browns were crispy without being overcooked. I’m a big guy/big eater and could not finish. Great service also. Will be back!

What a Great place, the cook asked the owner if he could stay open a little longer tonight, he did . We walked into the place , met a couple of cool people, had a fantastic BLT . The food was fantastic. The experience for me was the cook , he is a good man . I will go back, sometimes, it's not all about the food , the cook and the workers help us enjoy our food experience .

Amazing place!! Good food options for a vegetarian and the man working was incredibly kind and even let us sample one of their breakfast dishes (french toast cinnamon roll, super good!). The baba ghanouj and everything else we ate tasted great! Highly recommend!!

Thank you Audon for being such a great host. Your kindness and love for what you do comes through in your food. So delicious! We will definitely be coming back soon. The lentil soup is outstanding??

Interesting Mediterranean restaurant that serves American style breakfast and Mediterranean style lunch. I went to get a gyro, but then decided on an eggs Benedict. Food was tasty, and my wife got the gyro salad. We suggested that out of the five different bennies, they should do one with the gyro meat, which is very tasty. And get a cinnamon roll to go with your coffee, it's so good!
