Sat in drive thru for over 30 minutes and bailed before getting our food because we knew it would be disappointing anyway.

This location is terribly slow and operated poorly overall. So much so, today while on break from work I had to leave the drive-in after 20 mins because I was going to miss a meeting with a patient. There were 3 cars in front of me when I pulled in to order. When I had to leave the drive-in there were still 2, and I had to go back to work with no food. It was a terrible experience. I used to come here every day but this was the second time there were issues with waiting. The first time, after waiting for 15 mins for chicken they said had to be cooked (I had pulled to side after making it to the window already). They forgot about me and so I had to go inside and tell them my order again. They received the second star only because the food is still good.

I would like to start by saying I really loved going to Pickleman's in Lawrence all the time in college, but this location is just awful! Let's just start with today's disaster. I ordered a pizza for delivery and was given a 30 min est delivery time. Nearly an hour later I get a call from the store that they just ran out of pizza boxes. Not only am I irritated that my food should have been there nearly 30 min ago but now you are telling me that your out of pizza boxes?! I fully understand from time to time that a business my under estimate the demand, but when you see an order come in for something you can no longer provide calling the customer promptly to notify them of the problem will likely still result in a pleasant customer. Calling them nearly 30 min AFTER the delivery time to let them know you can't make the order is inexcusable and rude. To top it off the last 3 deliveries have been from drivers who very clearly smoked in the car with the food because it reeked of cigarettes upon delivery. That's pretty gross for people who don't like the smell and it's uncleanly. So try out Pickleman's it's typically pretty good as long as you don't come to this location your likely to have a pleasant experience.

My favorite tuna sandwich!!! Out of a handful of trips through the drive thru I think one time I had to wait more than five minutes. The service has always been great!

Was Potbelly first or Pickleman's? That's the question that engulfed me when visiting for supper on a Tuesday night. The two brands are terrible comparable. Decor, oven-roasted sandwiches, operational structures, etc. The menu differs to a degree but not tremendously. Basically, if you like Potbelly, you will like Pickleman's. This specific location strikes me as in a rough competitive grouping, with Jimmy John's right next door and a Subway also very close. Both of those places are less expensive and more known. So, Pickleman's will have to go the gourmet route and while the food is a little bit better, it's not enough better to command the extra cost. The service was strong here, helping get exactly the right deal and sandwich. The staff was friendly and knew the menu well. It took a little longer to get the food than other place, but it was fresh and well made. It's a reasonable trade-off.

Waited in the drive-thru for over 45 minutes. No explanation or apology. Restaurant wasn't even busy.

Me and my partner went here for dinner tonight. We walk in and are greeted immediately by the guy making the sandwiches, he was very nice. The woman at the register was very rude and didn't seem to want to be at work. She forgot my cookies and then wouldn't help me when I came back to ask for them. The atmosphere seemed tense in the store, and not welcoming. Now to the food, the broccoli cheddar soup was repulsive. It tasted very sour like it was past it's expiration date. The southwest salad was great and the bread the sandwiches were on was really good. If it hadn't of been for the rude cashier and the gross soup this would have been a positive review.

Terrible delivery time and time again resulting in cold and soggy expensive (all the added fee's) sandwiches

I got the Italian salad and it was very spicy. As in, It basically just tasted like spicy let us. My children got the pizza. It wasn't gross, but it wasn't good. We did get chocolate chip cookies and they were pretty good. The staff was helpful and friendly and I appreciated that.

We did a sandwich challenge with three other area sandwich shops. Picklemans finished 2nd of 4. We did a turkey club and an Italian. The bread was a positive for all. Italian was solid but not a huge fan of mayo on an Italian and this one had way too much. The turkey club was really good.

I ordered online for delivery and once I got my sandwich I noticed it had not been made correctly. When I called to inform them of this I was rudely answered back with "is it really the end of the world?" Absolutely terrible customer service!

Food -consistently ok. This time my chicken was over cooked, dry and tough. Price- way over priced. $6.99 for a scoop of chicken on bread, cheese and a single piece of bacon. If I'm paying over $7 for a sandwich with no side or drink, at least give me some bacon! Employees- usually friendly, though

The one good thing about this place is the coffee. Latte Land has a great mix of coffee drinks. I'm a big fan of their locations on the Plaza, but this one seems to be missing the awesomeness of other locations. Granted, this is Leawood, not a hipster paradise but still... The most striking features is how dirty the place is. Though the building is relatively new, it's in serious need of cleaning inside. A paint job, some updated colors and decent wall art. I love coffee houses with character and this place is in that uncomfortable valley between charming and just downright...bleech. The seating is cold with plastic and metal instead of comfy chairs. The two best chairs in the place are in the "kids" section so you can curl up to a good book and a hot latte while children throw temper tantrums. Speaking of children with temper tantrums, the baristas have that typical snobbery one would expect at a artisan coffee shop. However, that doesn't quite work at here because these baristas are writing attitude checks they can't cash. More than once my handcrafted beverage suffered an untimely death due to the drink not being called as done or I simply didn't hear. Is it really that hard to call out more than once when you see a lonely drink waiting for it's owner? Wi-Fi tends to be as unreliable as the service This is a coffee shop without a soul (but good coffee!) Next time, dare I say, Starbucks?

I love coffee. In fact, I'm not so sure I can live a day without it! Not only that, but I love trying new (for me) coffee places! So, when I came across Latteland, I said, "I need to try this place!". We walked in to this coffee shop and it was nice and clean and the people who worked there were super friendly! I always order sugar free drinks, so I asked what kind of drinks they make in sugar free (I think the non sugar free drinks are too sweet sometimes :) ). They only make sugar free vanilla :( Anyways, of course I ordered one. To me, it tasted like Starbucks, so if you're a Starbucks fan, you may like this place. Since I have only had one drink from here, I can't really say much about the other drinks. I would come back to this coffee shop, if I had to. It's not too bad, but nothing like my all time favorite, Coffee Bean!

The MBA class I teach has one Saturday class per semester and I wanted to make sure they had some good eats so I stopped at Kolache Factory. After grabbing about 60 kolaches I walked over to grab a "box of joe" which as you know is a porta-coffee with like 10 cups worth in it. When I walked in I knew something was wrong. There was only one guy in there and he was running around, trying to put some things together. He was only waiting on one person in front of me and I couldn't help but overhear his apologetic, "I'm sorry, I'm the only one here...no one from my crew showed up this morning." I felt bad for the guy, but I still needed my coffee. I waited patiently and while waiting one of his high-school (and truant) crew showed up and started helping. I wasn't going to be able to stop at the store now to grab some juice and milk so I asked if I could buy a gallon of milk from him. He said sure and charged me $4. 15 minutes after walking in I walked out with a box of joe, a gallon of milk, an apology for my wait, and a coupon for 2 drinks the next time I came in. That's how you make the best of a bad situation. Excellent job.
