This place has the absolute BEST breading on their onion rings, mushrooms, pickles and chicken. It is even good cold the next day holding it's texture and size! The chicken strips are superb as is the sliders and the items listed above. I drive 1.25 hours to this place and will continue to every month. Definitely on my top 5 favorites in the KC area.
Food is 3 and half stars it's your typical American food. I did enjoy my turkey burger and sweet potato fries . Regular fries are meh , the fried mushrooms batter tasted like country gravy and was soggy due to giant mushrooms.
Chicken strips are worth it , crunchy and good buttermilk fried chicken taste whole white meat.
Kids menu was okay but ice cream comes from mini tub.

I've been to Burg and Barrel twice now and love their food and the environment. It really feels like a local hangout. Lots of families go there for dinners. I still have several things on the menu that I want to try, so I will be going back soon.
