The food was great, the drinks were strong, the views were beautiful, and our waitress was wonderful.

Unfortunately, the experience with the hostess and the manager completely changed our overall impression.

Every time I’ve come here, I’ve gotten off-putting vibes from the hostess, Nancy (older woman with short gray hair), and this visit confirmed it. We were told there would be a 10-minute wait for an outdoor table, which was totally fine. When we were seated, it was at the far end where it was quite windy. Not a huge issue, but I did notice two open tables with heaters nearby.

Thinking ahead, I tried to see if we could move to one of those tables. While I was looking for someone to ask, another party was seated at one of them, leaving just one open. When I finally found a hostess, she told me I needed to speak with Nancy. Nancy then told me I’d have to wait another 10 minutes for that table—which seemed odd, but I agreed. I stepped aside to wait, and she immediately seated another party at the exact table I had just asked about. That was frustrating and honestly felt dismissive.

We were then seated at another table without a heater, and we decided to just move forward and enjoy our evening. We ordered drinks and appetizers and planned to possibly play Mahjong if it seemed appropriate. We were very mindful not to take up a table unnecessarily, so before starting, we asked our waitress if it would be okay. She said absolutely.

Over the next couple of hours, we ordered drinks, appetizers, and dinner, with our bill totaling around $200. The restaurant had multiple open tables the entire time, and we made sure we were actively dining and not just sitting around.

At the end of our meal, the manager, Kirk, came over to deliver our checks and told us that “it’s Kansas law that you can’t play games at restaurants,” but that he would “let it slide this time.” This was both confusing and frustrating and this is not true information. We were playing a simple tile-based strategy game. We weren’t gambling or playing a drinking game. If it were truly an issue, it should have been addressed when it started—not after we had been there for hours. Additionally, we had explicitly asked our waitress beforehand and were told it was fine.

Overall, the inconsistency in communication and the poor handling of the situation left a bad impression. It’s disappointing because there are definitely things this restaurant does well, but the customer service experience means we won’t be returning.

I’m 33 years old. My friend order a drink and apparently the server thought I was drinking out of it. She comes back and says if you’re gonna drink out of it then I need to see your id. I said “I actually haven’t even taken a drink. I was thinking about tasting it but haven’t yet. I can show you a picture of my id on my phone if you wanna see that.” She said her manager said no to pictures and she would need to take the drink back. I was like uh okay even though it was my friend that order it and was drinking out of it. It was weird that she felt the need to watch me as if I was under age. Definitely was not a good experience to feel like I’m being watched as if I’m a criminal. I usually come to enjoy the deck and watch people golf but won’t be back after this experience.

Food- Great
Atmosphere - Excellent
Service - Very nice people either understaffed or improperly trained. Service is always extremely slow and impersonal. This has been consistent since we've been going (since it opened) and it hasn't improved, in our experience.

We went during restaurant week. It was a lot of fun. I had ordered the lobster bisque but just thought it was okay but the chicken tortilla soup was delicious.

We showed up on. Friday late morning for Restaurant Week in KC. We were asked if we knew about them participating in Restaurant Week and if we had a reservation. Yes, we knew about Restaurant Week and no, we didn't have a reservation. They were full on tables with reservations bit had seating at the bar. We were fine sitting at the bar and got seated immediately.
The lovely young lady working the bar was fabulous. She took our drink orders quickly and delivered then almost immediately.
I ordered the Thai Shrimp Lettuce Wraps for my 1st course and the Short Rib Enchiladas. Both were amazing. The Thai Shrimp Lettuce wraps were tossed in a Thai red curry aioli on butter Lettuce and slaw with Thai Hot Honey Glaze. Cooked to perfection and a nice portion. The Enchiladas had a red Chile sauce, guacamole, cilantro crema, Mexican rice and stewed black beans. There was so much flavor in this meal and the first time ever having stewed black beans.
My husband ordered the Lobster Pot Pie Bisque and the Pork Schnitzel. The Bisque was delicious and beautiful. The Pork Schnitzel was fairly thick with dijonnaise aioli, tomatoes, pickles and butter Lettuce on a pretzel bun. It was also served with Belgium Fries and Club 27 Beer Cheese.
The service and atmosphere were absolutely wonderful and the food selection, presentation, quantity and quality were impeccable.
A great place to eat and have wonderful drinks.

We are there as part of Restaurant Week 2026 and everything was excellent. We had the lobster bisque pot pie, enchiladas, pork schnitzel sandwich, and the blondie. Everyone was very pleased with their food. Our server was great, there when we needed something and occasionally checking. Can recommend.

We tried this resturant because of being part of KC Resturant Week. It started a bit busy and took a little to get our reserved seats due to people loitering and not leaving. Food was excellent. Service was good. View of the golf course was great. We definitely keep this place in mind in the future.

Great food & view. Sidda made two unprofessional remarks that made both my husband and I uncomfortable. I can’t say for sure that it was maliciously intended, but there’s a time & place. Even if you know the staff well, there’s a line and it should be respected.

Chef was rude, insulted my family and the food was terrible. High possibility of food poisoning if you are eating here
