Had Gus's for the first time. Chicken was juicy and late spice/heat. Cole slaw was below average and fries were cold.

Sunday Sept. 8th my husband and I go for dinner. We both ordered the 2 piece white. Chicken arrived cold and not fresh. His mac & cheese was old. We informed our amazing server. She went to speak to the manager "Honey" about our food. Our server says my manager took a little discount off...our discount was $1.88 YES that's not a typo $1.88. Our check was nearly $40 for a meal we didn't eat and you send the server back to our table with $1.88 discount??? We still have the receipt. Seriously disgusted!!! "Honey" never came to our table to apologize or offer any resolve. What a slap in the face. Very unprofessional. The worst experience we have ever had at Gus's. Let me mention though that our server was so sweet, understanding and apologetic. We will not be back to 151st I'm sorry to say! We have been eating at Gus's for 10+ years. We even make it a point to visit the restaurants in other states. The server at the KCK location know us by name and what we typically order because we used to go every Friday until we moved close to this location! Unacceptable response! Do better Gus's 151st, do better!

Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken is delicious! It is always so moist and melt-in-your-mouth with just the right amount of spicy to bring a little heat. This location was very clean with good music playing, nice decor, the food was great and the service was amazing! Staff was polite, helpful, very friendly and never let the cups go empty. She was quick to get us to go boxes for our leftovers and lids to take our drinks with us. Great place!

The chicken was fresh and delicious! The beans were good. I didn’t care for the collard greens too much. The flavor of them was odd to me. Other than that, I really like Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken!
