Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

If you like hot and spicy, this place is tasty; however, my own fault...it only indicates hot and spicy chicken on the menu. NO WHERE else is this posted. Really crispy coating on chicken. Liked that, but I am no longer a hot or spicy food person. Service and sides were well done! Kept my tea filled. Thought we would try something new.

I made an over the phone order for pick up. Got there went inside to pay and was told the food would be done shortly. 15 minutes goes by and one of the servers grabbed two bags of food that had been sitting on the shelf behind The counter that had been placed there as I was walking in the door. The food sat there and got soggy for 15 minutes before it was actually handed to me. The smell The restaurant was also extremely bad. It smelled like sewer water inside of the restaurant. Normally, when we eat there, we don’t have bad experiences with this one was awful.

Well, I just called up there as I was told to you from the review reply and the acting general manager seemed like he had no clue why I was calling up there. Said hopefully next time he can make it a better experience. I’m not really sure how that Fixes the previous visit but thanks for trying I guess.

Gus's has the best fried chicken in town! The breading is thin, crispy and spicy (for me it has just right amount of heat)! When we eat there, we usually order four extra breasts to take home!

Not sure how people say this place is good. Had to spit the chicken out it was so bad.

I had never been here before today. I feel like I've been missing out on something, but now I'm not! This place is extra special and a hidden gem within this city. I had the catfish sandwich and regular old french fries. The sandwich was phenomenal! Tartar sauce is homemade. Even the water tastes good. Service was great! Thank you! I will return, most likely with my children!

We love Gus's and had our 1st experience just over 2 years ago at the Memphis Tennessee location from a recommendation. Really, really great fried chicken and sides. Excellent service also.

We had an excellent experience at Gus’s Fried Chicken tonight, and a big part of that was thanks to our server, Tyler. From the moment we sat down, he made us feel welcome and taken care of. He was attentive without ever being overbearing, checking in at just the right times and making sure we had everything we needed.

What really stood out was how thoughtful and proactive he was. He anticipated what we might need before we even had to ask, whether it was refilling drinks quickly, bringing extra ranch and honey mustard, or making sure hot food came out promptly. He went out of his way to explain a couple of menu items and made recommendations that turned out to be spot on.

Tyler’s attitude made the difference, he was friendly, patient, and clearly cared about giving us the best possible experience. It felt like he genuinely wanted us to enjoy our meal, and that kind of service is rare.

Thanks to him, our evening at Gus’s was more than just great food, it was memorable. Tyler is a fantastic server, and we’ll definitely be back not just for the chicken, but for the way he made us feel like valued guests.

The chicken is beyond delicious!!! It's fresh& crunchy, the sides are amazing!! And the sweet tea will take ya to the south. I LOVE this place!!!!

Lol Chicken out of a parking lot.. what a joke! They can't even figure out how to execute a proper dinner service I'm not sure what they are doing over there but it certainly not lunch and dinner they seem preoccupied. Dry sides, cold fries, non-existent customer service.
