Every time I crave Gus' chicken, I go there and then realize that it's better than I remembered. I'm not sure how that keeps happening, but that's the reality. My wife finally got the catfish at this location and it was just as good as we had hoped.
So I've visited this location over the weekend.I would say that the restaurant was clean but the service was horrible. I had an ax more than twice for beverage.Then it took them an hour to get my order out.Because they had lost the receipt to give to the cooks.Then I found out there was no toilet paper in the restroom so you had to ask for that too. Overall, the food was good. I actually enjoyed the potato salad more than I did the mac and cheese and the chicken was fried to perfection. Please do better.

If you're looking for spicy chicken and a side of subtle racism, this is your spot. A friend recommended this place to me, I figured I'd give it a try since I live down the street. I ordered to go and went to pick up. While waiting, a woman got her to-go order in a typical plastic sack. When mine came out, they sent it with me in a sealed plastic bag, as if I'm going to tamper with my own gd food. It's really simple, all you have to do is ask if it's personal or for delivery. Instead of assuming what, I'm untrustworthy and/or can't afford a plate?I got a chicken strips meal with okra and fries, along with a chicken thigh to try. The bone in chicken was juicy but much too spicy for me. The tenders were better but also fine. The sides are less than mediocre. Expect fire poops from the bounds of hell. Luckily Popeyes is coming in across the street.

Atmosphere was just random furniture that got brought off of amazon. BUUT this was the only “bad” thing about this place. Staff were very friendly and brought our order to us in under 15 minutes.The food was amazing. Perfectly spicy yet crispy chicken and i love the fries. Chess pie was also delicious.5 stars.The food and service makes up for the weird atmosphere.

A nice change to traditional fried chicken. A low level of spice keeps it just warm enough, but not too hot to the palate. I really like Gus’s chicken!The sides are ok too. Not as great as the chicken though. Service is always friendly and accommodating. We are definitely returning customers.
