Service was slow, especially since dining room wasn't crowded. Burnt ends weren't burned enough and were very fatty.
Lamb rib is very good but not enough meat thick. Crown prime beef rib is best food (tender)
For the first time, I thought the brisket was just "Ok". I have eaten at Jack Stack many times over the last 25-30 years. I had friends in from out of town and took them there last night (95th and Metcalf). I got the 2 Meat Combo, beef burnt ends and brisket. I thought the brisket was sort of "blah". This is the first time my friends who came with me had ever been there. Maybe it was just me, but I thought the brisket was just "Ok". Thanks, Bill Meador
Food was ok, but not as good as the last time we went. Waitress was great in the beginning then vanished forever and put the rest of the responsibility of ticket etc to another waitress. We waited quite awhile to get ticket etc. We won't be back next time we are in KC.
Rave reviews for the pick three Kansas City Combo, Martin City Mayor, Poor Russ and the Big Pig...as well as the french fries, cheesy potato bake and cole slaw. Unfortunately, we were way too full for the carrot cake or chocolate brownie this time...but we'll be back!
The service was fantastic! We had to wait for a few minutes after our reservation time but the hostess was accommodating. Our server was incredibly attentive.
We have been long time customers of Jack Stack but our first time to this location. Because of our great experiences at other locations I am chalking our experience off to a one off. Service was not friendly and not up to the experience I have had at other locations. My spouse and I shared a rib dinner for 2 which we normally order and both of us were ill with major stomach issues within 30 minutes of leaving. Very disappointing. Going forward we will stick to the Plaza or Freight House locations.
This is one of my restaurants in KC! It does not disappoint EVER!!! Best burnt ends anywhere, love the cheesey corn & their onion rings. The beans are outstanding!
Jack Stack was my first KC bbq experience 16 years ago, and continues to be my favorite! They introduced me to burnt ends and they were amazing again. I recommend the beef burnt ends but imagine the pork are great as well. We also had the crown prime which is amazing. It is a $16 up charge, but worth every penny. It is so tender and flavorful. I've never seen anything like it at any other barbecue restaurant. The baked beans, Brussels sprouts appetizer and homemade dressings are amazing sides to the bbq that is as good as it gets.
Had my go to Hatfield sandwich. Can have the other half next day for supper again. Love it!!!! Our waiter, Michael, was very conscientious and pleasant. Great evening.

Always a great place to go for the best Kansas City BBQ. Great staff, friendly atmosphere and there isn’t a bad thing in the menu.

Jack Stack is my first choice for an upscale barbecue restaurant. Their baked beans are the best I’ve had. The barbecue is excellent.

We had a combo plate with brisket and pulled pork. Both were very good. Our waiter, Michael was prompt, friendly, and helpful in guiding us through the menu.
