KC Daiquiri Shop Bistreaux

The location in Overland Park is closing as of today, 10/15/23. The menu was reduced due to the closing of the restaurant and still some items were out even on the minimized menu. Also, the place was getting busy after we sat and maybe because of not enough staff, the service was not up to par!

Customer service was great, food was good and hot when it came to the table. The drinks where on POINT. The owner was outstanding. Stop by today and get you a nice hot plate and even better drink.

Restaurant had some supply issues that limited the menu, but we made due. The food we had was great. My to-go order was missing the fries (wing basket), but other than that, my wife and I had a decent time. Don't worry, we'll be back. It's a gem of an eatery.

This place is amazing with their frozen drinks. Today, unfortunately, the chef was out so it was drinks only so I didn't get to try to food but met the owner Kinnley. I will say I am usually not a frozen drink person but these frozen drinks were amazing. I got the Kinnley Special and Strawberry LIT. Both are great. Coming back Thursday to try some of the food!

Went there 8/26/23. Made reservations for 4 at 7pm. Arrived on time....we're seated. Ordered appetizer of fried okra and drinks... then our entrées. Drinks came. Okra came....waitress brings news...NO wings . We order something different... An hour later waitress came to say everything....all 4 different entrées were sold out....wow that took an HOUR to tell us ! SMH. Now its after 8pm on a Saturday night . What a waste of our evening....w friends in from Colorado. How embarrassing ?

The customer service is always excellent! The food us delectable and the atmosphere is soothing. A great place to come, have a great time, and listen to music. A special shout out to Yana! She was phenomenal!

Music, atmosphere, food, attentive and friendly waitress was all wonderful which was perfect being my first time visit. My only disappointment was the dish I wanted was not available. Also, some drink ingredients were not available but we were offered alternatives. I enjoyed my experience.

This was so good! Sampler basket was crispy and delicious, shrimp and grits were just the right amount of spicy, and etouffe was so comforting. Service was fantastic. We will definitely be back!

There were several issues with my online order. The gentleman with the round glasses behind the bar and the younger guy who made our drinks were phenomenal. They are why I am giving 5 stars. The shorter blonde lady that made us feel like issues on their end of online ordering was our fault, and elected to tell us what we should or should not have been able to do online was AWFUL. Even though we didn't get what we ordered, the trip and customer service was amazing, except hers was terrible. Kudos to those two men, and whoever hired then. If we had to deal with just that woman we would have asked for a refund and never returned. We are used to the downtown spot, but this location is absolutely stunning

My wife and I went to the Bistreaux again and took a couple who had not been before; needless to say we all had a great time. As sometimes happens there were some menu items that were not available but there were still plenty to choose from. This has happened in the past but the narrowing of choices made me try their red beans and rice for the first time and it was amazing. Being born and raised in Louisiana that dish was the best I've ever had and I've had a lot. The couple we took to the Bisteaux on Thursday night instantly loved the food and the atmosphere. I think it became their favorite restaurant instantly. Keep up the good work 'cuz we'll be back!

Had lunch here. Best creole restaurant I’ve been too. Everything we had, including appetizers, was delicious. Definitely recommend.

We had a great time with Yana as our server. She was amazing and informative! The food was super tasty and wish they were not out of boudin but maybe next time! Had the strawberry Long Island and the Beach please daiquiri. Also listed is the sampler platter, wings, calliope catfish, shrimp etouffé, gumbo, salmon New Orleans, and the seafood platter. Definitely will be back for more!!

Good atmosphere and service. The day we attended several of the items we wanted to try from the menu were not available which was disappointing. It was surprising that several of the staples were not being served. The meal was good, except for the missing items. The daiquiris were very good and cold excellent for a summer day. Will try again and hope that we can enjoy a more complete meal.

Let me tell you, the food was great. They had a DJ playing music when we went on Sunday. I had the shrimp and crawfish pasta. When I tell you it was saucy and delicious, I mean that. We also had their Daiquiri, they were also good. If you are looking for New Orleans dishes in KC, go here!

Food was absolutely amazing. So many daiquiri flavors to choose from. We spent about $60 for two people. The portions where pretty big in my opinion. My server Kenny was absolutely amazing and for being the only server on did a great job. I would definitely be back again!!!
