Devoured the wings as an appetizer before I was able to take a picture. Wings were good! Ordered the grilled salmon salad and mac and cheese. Our food was delicious but our server was not pleasant at all whatsoever. She seemed impatient and we weren’t being difficult by any means. She rolled her eyes a couple times.

Wow! What a pleasant surprise. Usually when there's a lot of hype, there is a lot of disappointment. That is not the case here. The parking lot was packed. The restaurant was packed. Yet you are seated quickly and serve quickly the wait staff was outstanding. We had the wings which were delicious. And I got the burnt end Burger. It was fantastic! Highly recommend. Next time I'm in KC I will stop here for sure.

We really enjoyed this place. We had the burnt ends sandwich and brisket platter. All were very good. Sauces were fantastic. Mac and cheese was good. I would definitely recommend this place.

Heading through town and looking for some barbecue as going North. Husband found this listing as award winning. Disappointing. We got the Judges order for ribs, brisket and pulled pork. I like the pulled pork the best as had more flavor. The brisket was dry in my opinion. We took it to go, but dashed through to the bathroom and could not believe how PACKED the restaurant was. It was wall to wall people and chaos. I guess the pandemic is over in Kansas City!

Q39!! This was our first time here. We live in Kansas City and we have heard good and not so good about this place. There were 11 of us and most of us gave it a 7 out if 10. It was ok. Our server Nautica and she did a great job taking of us. There was one lady that brought our food to the table and she basically dropped the food on the table. The food was good but the portions were pretty small and I feel they need to work on presentation. I got the judges 3 with brisket, pulled pork and sausage. I ordered a side of mac and cheese and they put that bowl on top of my meat so it was smashed and the bottom of the mac and cheese bowl got bbq sauce on it, so when I removed it, it got sauce on the table. This place is not worth the price.

Second time to Q39, first time this location. Food n service are great. Love the bacon-wrapped shrimp appetizer. Wings spicy but subtly sweet. Best part was ribs, close second is burnt ends and brisket. Next time we will focus on that. Chicken a pulled pork were tasty but eclipsed by the excellence of the ribs n brisket. Service was personal with a good balance of attention and letting us enjoy the food. Highly recommend.

Fantastic bbq! Very possibly the best burnt ends in town. We went on Friday at 6:00 and we’re able to get a table rather quickly. There was definitely a wait as we left. You can make reservations if you’re better planners than we are. There’s a bar and some TVs. It’s not a quiet restaurant but the food is amazing. Service was great. We will definitely be back. We hope our reviews and photos are helpful for learning about shopping, eating and playing in the area we live in.

I would recommend getting a reservation as this restaurant had a decent line. The onion straws were hot and oily. The barbecue meats that we chose were all very delicious. Specifically, I liked the brisket and sausage as they were flavorful. The smoked chicken was the only thing I did not like. The sides complimented the meats very well. Lastly, service was prompt and friendly.
