I highly recommend the Triple Threat sandwich! The apple slaw, the pork belly, it is just wonderful. Service was FANTASTIC! From being greeted when we arrived to our impeccable server Brenen who took great care of us, it was all terrific.
We are from Texas so we know good barbecue, we were here in Kansas City for the weekend and thought we would try a couple of places out, Q39 & Jack Stack. This place was by far our favorite. Jack had a very nice atmosphere and really good cornbread but if you’re more concerned with meat and sides, Q 39 was head and shoulders above.

Ben did a fabulous job! Engaging and friendly, making great recommendations (the nachos!!). Can’t recommend this place enough. If you’re from out of town or live in KC, Q39 is a staple of KC BBQ that you MUST try. Make sure to make a reservation to ensure you don’t have to wait in line.
