WOW, so impressed with this place. Everyone from the owner Michael to each server was so knowledgeable and friendly. I did a private event and we all had a great time. One of my new favorite places in the metro. Highly recommend.

We really enjoy this local spot. They do earn their rewards and hype. They are very personal, friendly, knowledgeable. We enjoy the wine club membership. They have a great geographically focused menu. Check it out

Probably the best place in the Kansas City area for quality wine! Every server is a sommelier, we had Chris W. He gave us amazing recommendations for wines and food. The food menu is created in a way so that it will pair well with the wines they have available!

I highly recommend coming here for dessert as well too. I confidently would say this is the best dessert you can find in Kansas City. Great place for a date night or a double date. Easy to share food with each other!! I will for sure be back I high enjoyed my meal

I was struck by the knowledge and enthusiasm shown by the sommelier who waited on us at the bar. We had a wonderful, ongoing, conversation that was fascinating and enlightening. That was as much a treat as the outstanding glasses of wine that we tasted!

Having seen a picture on their website of a specific entree , we drove from Eudora to experience this place. When we arrived we were told that the specific dish was not yet in season. We were saddened by this but there were still several tasty options on the menu so we moved on and were still excited to try the food. A short time later, our server came to the table and informed us that she had spoken with the chef about our situation and he was able to go ahead and make the desired dish! Such a kind and amazing gesture! We also had the steak tartar which was in the top 5 that I have ever had, the mushroom toast was also very tasty with a perfect balance of herbs to the goat cheese. Carrot cake was tasty and the Sticky Toffee Pudding was most excellent! We did not have any wine but the cocktails were spot on. We will most certainly be returning!!

The food was delicious and the place was accessible. As a 3+ year paraplegic I've been to many of establishments and 95% the restrooms are not. I'd highly recommend this restaurant, the wine is our of this world.

Their wine list is an enthusiasts dream. And perfect for everyone because of all the options. The staff gives awesome recommendations to pair with food (also fantastic). The music was very fun too. From Lou Vega one moment to Jimi Hendrix the next. We really enjoyed it here.

We had a fun time at Vintage 78 sampling various wines by the glass through a couple of different flights. Our waiter/ sommelier listened to some of our preferences and then made recommendations based on them. He did a good job of providing some wines that were a bit off the beaten path but which proved to be quite good and ones that we will seek out bottles of the next tine we are stocking up on wines. Vintage 78 also has some very tasty and very creative food items. We tried 3, the tuna crude, the steak tartare and a bread pudding dessert with some Gelato on top. I will include some pictures that show off their creative presentation of the steak tartare but suffice it to say that all of the food choices were seasoned appropriately and hit the spot as accompaniments to the wine. We did not try a charcuterie board with cheeses and other selections this tine because we want to come back and try it with friends. Last, but not least we joined their rewards club because we do plan to come back. I do wish they'd have a larger outdoor seating area as it was a little warm inside when we were there. I do hope they start carrying Dolce by the glass!

Popped in for a glass of bubbles and desert. The wine I requested was n/a but the substitute recommendation certainly topped what I wanted and it wasn’t an upsell. Informative and friendly staff. Also the toffee pudding was a cake and the best cake you ever could have!
