When I first moved to Pittsburg in 2018 , chicken Mary’s was by far the best chicken you could get in south east Kansas. I mean it was something special!! Since the restaurant sold a couple years ago it’s never been the same. We have tried to eat there numerous times and it only gets worse. Last week we tried it again hopeful, but it will be our last visit. There were maybe 4 tables and it took an hour to get our food and half of it was cold. We waited for over an hour for our food. Everyone at surrounding tables waited just as long as us. The staff didn’t even inform us there would be such a long wait after she sat us down. It’s 84 degrees outside today and it felt cooler outside than it did inside the restaurant. My husband was fully cooked before his chicken was cooked. It’s been two years since we’ve been here, and it’s definitely a completely different experience. This place is dead to us.
