“The only downside to getting your food there is the hours, or lack of them, one can get served. Not only is it only open when the small-town grocery store is, after around 5 pm on weekdays & Saturday (earlier on Sunday) it's just cold storage self-serve, meaning what they still had cooked at quitting time got packaged up, priced, and stuck in the nearby coolers next to the prepackaged coleslaw and such. That means your luck is all that controls what's available from them after their business hours. Maybe some potato wedges, maybe some chicken strips or popcorn chicken. If you're lucky, that's what you wanted. If you wanted their tasty catfish fillets, instead... well, you're usually totally out of luck. ?If you're there during open hours, though, definitely stop by while shopping and get some of their yummy food. ?”

“Slow service Pretty sure our waiter didn’t put our order in. Every one in the dining room got their orders. It took my party over an hour to get our order and it trickled out between other groups The waiter didn’t bring our check and when we went up front to get it he was had no idea we were one of his table. Will not go again and do not recommend”

“We stopped midday on Sunday. Wife remembered the place from college days at Pitt St.. food was as old school as it gets. Small town drive in at its best. We both had cheeseburgers and a side of tots. And drinks. The burgers were great and I got grilled onions and no other diners or drive in even offers them but they do. It was all so fresh and tasty. And I'm a iced tea fanatic and it was very good . So folks do your self a favor and make the trip to Pleasanton KS to eat at Cookies drive in. You won't be sorry it was great”
