We are just around the corner and always love to grab a yummy ice cream treat just about every day! The options are fantastic and everything is wonderful. Customer service is great and they’re fast!

Absolutely Delicious!

We had an amazing visit to Summersalt Ice Cream Co! The ice cream was incredibly creamy and packed with flavor. You can really tell they use quality ingredients. They offer a wide variety of unique and classic flavors—some of our favorites were Hokey Pokey, Chocolate Grasshopper, and Ooey Gooey Buttercake.

The shop itself is bright, fun, and welcoming, with plenty of outdoor seating and some eye-catching treats like sprinkle-covered pops. It’s a perfect spot to cool off and indulge. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great local ice cream experience!

Terrible. Don't waste your money. Staff was unfriendly. The ice cream melted even after 2 days in a freezer. Owner was incredibly rude. There are so many better options in KC with much nicer staff.

There are so many ice cream options! They have a gluten free cone option and a significant selection of gluten-free ice creams! The atmosphere was adorable; it is mostly outside seating, but there are a couple of chairs indoors! We enjoyed trying some very unique and delicious flavors - my favorite was the lavender and local honey option! They have a rosemary and date one, and many others! The staff was very welcoming and kind, and we really enjoyed the experience!

my 10 y/o thought something was off with his ice cream. What kid thinks ice cream is bad?!? I informed the young lady at the counter that he did not like it. she refused to offer an exchange and made us pay $5.50 for a replacement. I asked her to throw away the off-quality ice cream and she refused. she said, you have to throw it away yourself, "we are not allowed to "take back" anything." we have been to this ice creamery countless times, but they lost my business tonight.

Vegan gluten-free and dairy options. Love the many gluten free flavors. They even have gluten-free waffle cones which are delicious! My favorite ice cream in Kansas City.

Love the flavors, and the indoor outdoor seating is nice too. If I had only one complaint, it's that the napkins need to be a little more stout. But hey, not much if you think about it. We'll be back.

Their homemade ice cream is delicious one of the best in KC hands down. So glad we found this place. Nice area to sit outside. Lots of flavors to choose from plus pints to go. Go here!

I never leave bad reviews, but this dealt with my kid so I cannot be silent. As a celebratory getaway out of state for finishing law school and taking her bar exam, we came to KC for a vacation. After much research my daughter was excited to find a place with vegan ice cream. Having a severe dairy allergy is hard when you love ice cream, and this place had amazing reviews.

We walked in and the ONLY dairy free flavor on the board was “Vanilla”. She asked the clerk if the gluten free waffle cone was also dairy free (here’s your sign…) and she said yes, and my daughter asked for a dairy free vanilla on a gluten free waffle cone. My daughter also asked and confirmed that the ice cream was dairy free. And get this…when we checked out a blonde asked if it was a dairy free vanilla and my daughter said yes…and so we go outside to eat. My daughter said she didn’t think it was dairy free and wasn’t feeling good - but hey - two people confirmed before we paid it was dairy free. I then went inside to “confirm” and the girl who made the cone said “the vanilla isn’t dairy free but the waffle cone is” (speed check - ASK FOR A DAIRY ALLERGY). The girl who checked us out (who asked if it was a dairy free ice cream) came over and said “we don’t always have dairy free vanilla and it changes out”. IT WAS THE ONLY DAIRY FREE FLAVOR LISTED ON THE MENU BOARD!!!!! And - she confirmed the ice cream was dairy free vanilla at check out!

Training tip: IF SOMEONE ASKS IF SOMETHING IS DAIRY FREE OR GLUTEN FREE, CONFIRM IF THERE IS AN ALLERGY AND SUGGEST ICE CREAM TO FIT THEIR ALLERGY IF “ANY”!!

Side note: no refund was offered after we had to throw away the ice cream and rush to the hotel where my sick daughter is hoping she can be in the car to travel home tomorrow. ?
