I've eaten here a number of times and I believe the food is excellent. Our server recommended a few dishes and they were both winners. Very flavorful and cooked to perfection.

The food was AMAZING (as always). Highly recommend the goat cheese and bang bang shrimp. And the lamb paired soooo well with the cous cous. Can't wait for our next date night.
Love love this place , it's a pretty atmosphere , it's a quiet place to have a beautiful meal . We all had something different everything was amazing! I had the scallops in a great sauce :loved it , my son had the special bolognese with homemade pasta :he ate every bite , my daughter in law had the miso salmon :it was yummy , and my hubby had the Tuna it was great ! We had the bang bang shrimp as an appetizer it was really delicious and soups and salads . Our waiter Kirk was really great , he knows the menu inside & outs and he is very detailed in his menu descriptions , and very friendly . Great job Kirk ! Oh and we had two beautiful desserts , one was a passion fruit custard like one and other was a fried apple pie with ice cream! Holly Molly yummy

A must do when I'm in Lenexa KS again. I had the Cod and it was well prepared and delicious. The strawberry cake bar dessert was delicious as well. Definitely a place to enjoy fine dining.

Matthew was an INCREDIBLE waiter. He really was amazing and attentive to detail. He even asked if we wanted to move outside for dessert and after dinner drinks. The new Spring menu was very good. Can't wait to go back!

This is quickly becoming one of my favorite places for lunch. The food is good and although the menu isn't huge, there is plenty of variety. The atmosphere is very nice and the service is very attentive. Terrific spot.

Service was phenomenal! Atmosphere was lovely. Food was decent - the fried shrimp was great, the bread was delightful, pasta was a little overcooked, dessert is shareable and delicious.
My spouse insisted I come here after she had dinner with one of her friends. I am so glad I came. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food was magnificent. Highly recommended. Already at the top already in my top five places to visit again.

Food tasted fabulous but the entree portion sizes were quite small. I ordered the salmon and it was half the size of what is served at the Bristol or Eddie V's. I don't feel the meal was worth the price they charge. Service was so-so. The waitress approached our table 3 times to order drinks before the entire party arrived. we told her we would wait but she kept coming back. Felt a bit rushed. I love the atmosphere and patio seating. Will be back but probably not as a regular due to the inflated price for small portions.

The food is great! They change the drinks, and mocktails are delicious! Great for a lite bite or full meal. The only thing I would change is that they currently only have 1 vegetarian meal. It'd be nice to have 2 or 3 to pick from. But there are several salads and appetizers that work.

The entire experience from start to finish was amazing. The ambience was just perfect. Updated and modern yet welcoming. We were celebrating my fiancés 28th birthday with family and this was the perfect spot for this occasion!Each plate/course was well thought out and executed to perfection. The star for me was the beef tartare - it being my first time having this dish, I was so thoroughly impressed. The other in our party were so hesitant to try prior to the deliveries plate to the table but once they saw it, they had no hesitation in trying or regrets! I also need to mention the fried apple pie with ice cream which was just melt in your mouth! ?Lastly, I need to mention our waiter Matthew L. Who was beyond kind, attentive and knowledgeable. You can tell when someone takes pride in the place they work, and he was just so passionate, it made the experience that much better.

Our first experience at Verbena was amazing! We didn’t have reservations (our fault) so we sat at the bar, which was a great experience. The bartender made outstanding cocktails and handled our needs mixed with the bar needs like a pro. The food was amazing. Between us- we shared the bang bang shrimp, oysters, the pork, miso salmon and 2 salads. It was all fabulous with great flavor and perfect temperature. I have to eat a GF diet, which brings different levels of complications to ordering at restaurants, but our bartender really knew how the ins and outs of the menu and didn’t make me feel like a pain while ordering! Tons of options for food. The menu and cocktails are on the pricier side, but absolutely worth every bit money spent. Value 100%. The atmosphere was moody and dim with beautiful decor.We will absolutely be back!
