Hidden gem all around perfect
I ordered the Prairie Skillet. It was by far the best breakfast Skillet I've eaten. Hash browns, scrambled eggs, crumbled sausage and bacon with onions and peppers. Will definitely order again. Also had a home made biscuit with gravy and it was delicious and filling. Great tasting food and very reasonable price.
Forth visit in six weeks. Best family restaurant in Cowley County is in Rock, Ks. Very clean, owner and staff are very friendly and the food for me is 5 star.

Another reviewer came for breakfast and spent just a little over $30, finding the food very good and planning to try it again. However, they did not get their order as ordered, including loaded hashbrowns crispy and a half order of biscuits and gravy, and had to ask for a coffee refill. They thought the cook is exceptional but that communication between the customer and the cook is a problem. Another reviewer heard great things and tried breakfast, finding the burrito was mostly hashbrowns with very little anything else, and eggs that were sent back 3 times and still raw, but everything else was great. One reviewer tried Prairie Skillet for the 1st time tonight and had the Friday fish fry, which was Delicious, with great food and service, and will definitely be back. Another reviewer gave the old diner in Rock a try again with new owners, new cooks and wait staff, and found it really good, with an Omlette and hashbrowns that were very good, and a clean and friendly diner where everyone was polite.
