Daimaru Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi

Kid-friendliness: We originally sat down at the grill. My daughter, who has autism, had a panic attack as soon as the chef at the grill next to us started a flame. We've never taken her to a restraunt like this before and didnt know what to expect. We quickly asked the staff if we could move to a regular table and they were quick to assist us in making that change. Such friendly staff and great food.

Place was amazing our chef JoJo was full of enthusiasm and really gave us a show ? I've had bad experiences here this was not a bad experience at all

Hands down the best place in this area! You've absolutely got to go here and ask for JoJo as your hibachi chef. Well worth the money and will not disappoint with the insane show and talent this man puts on!

I came into Daimaru last week with my 5 year old while we were on a road trip. When I walked in, I could tell that something was wrong, as there were a bunch of people waiting for tables. I didn't have a reservation and found out that they were short staffed (I asked). Maya (sp.) handled it extremely professional and was able to seat us rather quickly. Our waitress, Elle (sp.), was very welcoming, even though she had had her hands full with many tables. Elle was so pleasant and was overly helpful. Thank you for providing top notch service, even while juggling so many customers at one time. I will definitely be returning to Daimaru the next time I drive through on I-70!

Recently multiple reports of bugs found in food. Inspection reports backup bug infestation reports.

This place isn't what it used to be. It's a dirty shell of the restaurant it was. I think it's a problem that starts with the owners.

Fantastic filet hibachi! Only in this area for another 11 days but I'll definitely be going back at least once before I go home.

We went for lunch and ordered sushi rolls for an appetizer and wanted to look at menu. After watching our waitress serve other tables she finally came and asked if we were ready, by that point we were there 45 minutes. We finally ordered and received the food and only got half of what we ordered so we thought they forgot! Then she comes bringing the bill and we asked were the rest of our food was and she avoided the answer and made someone else bring the bill, and said since we already ate some of the food we have to pay for it, which I agree. But still wanted the rest of our order. The bill was laid on our table for over $100...for sushi and half our order....not a thank you or nothing...and we will never go back to that place! We live an hour and a half away and always go there when we are in town! All we wanted to do is have a nice lunch with our kids!! 2 hours later, watching people eat their lunch and leave, we started to get angry that we were still there....not a good experience

I loved it they actually cook the food right in front of you at the table on a grill that they have and they perform tricks they throw like eggs up in the air and catch them in their hats you get to watch your food being cooked it's fresh and hot when you get it I recommend if you haven't eaten there before try it.
