Went to the restaurant this evening, for the first time in over 2 years. Was expecting the same quality of food as we had had previously. This restaurant is obviously under new management. Now, noodles that should be firm, are squishy. Fried rice has no flavor with a slimy texture. Battered and fried foods, like their sesame chicken and others entrees, which should be crisp and flavorful, are soft and bland. The spicy foods like General chicken, are far too spicy.With this being said, we will not be going back. Very disappointed in the food quality and taste.

This use to be my go to spot for Chinese buffet. However, I went 7/26/23 after just moving back to Topeka I was looking forward to it but after I saw how the buffet looked and my husband saw how the restroom looked we walked right back out and went elsewhere. The buffet was nearly empty, food that was available was not fresh whatsoever. My husband went to the restroom he said there was water all over the floor and it was just gross in there. I don't know whats going on but they need to get it together or shut down until they do. We won't be going back.

Always smells clean food is always amazing. You can get a container to go for only 10.99 if they are out of something they make it right away even if it's 15 minutes till close time they make a fresh new batch. Could be cleaner, but the service is great. I would have given the food 5 stars but you have to go during peak times to get the freshest and most options. 7:30 to closing they start to fall off. They dont refresh their platters and some of it has been there for a bit.

In the past, China Pavillion was one of our families favorite restaurants. I had rated them 5 stars previously, but I believe ownership may have recently change hands and it shows. Many of the dishes are not as good as in the past. Overly spiced on some that shouldn't be, overly breaded or bland on others, and some were cold. Service was minimal at best. I understand costs have gone up, but it was not worth the $35 we paid for lunch for three adults with water on a weekday. Sorry to say we will have to find a new favorite. Very disappointing.

Took my family there today and It wasntgood. It kind of bothered us watching the cook fill the buffet while he was eating. We have been there several times in the past and it was good, and the last couple of times not so great. This time we will go there my son got desert and found 3 hairs on his desert so we were done eating at that point. when he told the waitress she got very rude to him. We still paid for our meal not a big deal.

Had a great meal at a great price here today. We had never been here before and we always take a look a buffet first to decide if we want it. My girlfriend, son, and I could tell right off that this was going to be a good one. Lots of hot fresh foods to enjoy! All the usual fair and more like sushi, fried chicken, wings, and a chocolate fountain. We all agreed that every thing was great. This is extra impressive because we came in around 3:30 which is usually not the best time for most buffets. The service and price were all great too. We will definitely be back.

Most bland food I've had in a long time. Coating on chicken was mushy and not really a coating because it wasn't actually sticking to the chicken. Rice was cold. Also missing items from our order. When we went back to get it the employee acted like it was such an inconvenience and tried to charge me for it. First and last time trying this place.

Fantastic!! Honestly my favorite Chinese buffet in this town. They have a nice variety of items and SUSHI!! Lol and the sushi is good (which is rare for a buffet)!! Good stuff!!
