waited 5 mins for help and made eye contact 2 times with someone just standing there then i just left
12:06pm, no delis available to order from what the cashier said. Sad as its a friday afternoon, and some people want sandwiches. Way to promote your business. đ cashier was very rude and didn't offer any other choices. Words on the business show, deli. Lunch time, people might want a sandwich and nothing too heavy.
Waste of a business.
My husband's cousin got a meat bundle from here and usually we deal with the one in North Topeka. We got spoiled meat, we let pork cutlets defrost and it spilled bad. Yesterday, I took out a thing of hamburger out to defrost and the smell was just bad. We tried to call today but they are closed. Will be called tomorrow and letting someone know and we spent over $400 for 2 meat bundles and we still have meat in our deep freezer. And before anyone asks our deep freezer is a few months old.
Edit: I am changing my review. His cousin called and spoke to the manager. The manager told the cousin to bring it back and he made it right. Now, my review isn't intended to say that this is a bad business because it isn't.
Highly disappointed! Meat appeared to be smoked at too high a temperature so it was a bit dry & tough. Not very much smoke flavor. No smoke ring on the meat. Sorry.
They shut there saws down at 4:30. Not customer friendly for the 9 to 5 folks. Won't be back.
The ribs were good, except they were unseasoned. The hot links were delicious, and the salad was great! It was freezing inside the restaurant.
I was very disappointed today with the meals we ordered. Iâve been here a couple of times and truthfully the food has just been ok. Today will probably be my last visit. I understand it gets busy, but after you wait to order and they tell you they donât have any of the meats you want is disappointing. They should let you know ahead of time so times not wasted. After ordering it was a long wait. They called us up 30 mins later just to tell us they didnât have another item we ordered, but they did let us substitute it. After waiting 40 mins my husbandâs food was missing 2 of the 3 meats he ordered. We both continued to eat our meals after it was fixed to discover plastic and aluminum foil mixed in our food. Unfortunately this whole dinner night was wasted.
Stopped for an early dinner. Had to be the worst BBQ weâve had in a long time. I had the rib tip dinner and my husband had the burnt ends. Neither of us could eat the bark it was so dried out and tough. Meat underneath was dry too. Green beans had turned to mush Not a single table had been wiped off even though there was only two tables occupied. Staff all standing behind counter taking. No effort to wipe off tables or pick up the trash. Cannot recommend nor will we be back.
Big E was amazing and had the best customer service. Will return!
Hermanâs owner (Chad) said Iâm no longer welcome to Hermanâs because I made an complaint about their manager that goes by (Big E) for pulling me in the restroom harassing and threatening me and doing PDA while on the clock with one of his employees right in front of me terrible customer service they refused to help my sister cause she returned back expired meat they sold her so please ask for your bundles to be fresh and not frozen.

The manager E was just the upmost disrespectful. He refused to served me after I mentioned he shouldnât being doing PDA in front of customers. The music was not family friendly at all. Just a lot of cussing and for this to be a business that is just unacceptable. 0/10 would never recommend
We have purchased Herman's meat for years. Over the last year or more when I entered the store no one asked if they could help me. The final straw for us was the last ground beef we purchased. We buy the leanest ground beef. I made meatloaf with the last ground beef purchased. More than a 1/2 inch of greasy water was in the loaf pan after baking the meat loaf. The meat was also very chewy. We are very disappointed but will not shop there any longer.
Had my wife pick up a mobile order for me and coworkers. Called to ask if they could help her carry out as she had our son, they didn't, they were also rude/short with her. Also they missed over half our order, when I called to get the rest they said I'd have to wait until other orders were done before they could finish mine had to spend my break on the phone telling em that wasn't gonna work. Finally got the food only 15 min late and come to fine the plastic bag full of grease cuz they decided to combine to orders of burnt ends. Also four BBQ sauce for 3 pulled pork and 2 burnt ends is criminal. Food was decent tho...
This is a very large space with the restaurant on the side. They have a variety of jams as well as pickled vegetables and of course meat the gentleman that checked this out was full of humor and chitchat. I went in to get spicy pickles for my cousin to take back to Oklahoma City
1st the ribs were good as well as the hot cheesy potatoes.
The guys behind the counter were very nice and assisted me where the gals at the counter could not.
2nd now the bad stuff. I ordered the slab of ribs that come with 2 sides. The gal with glasses could not comprehend I wanted my sides to be whatever the size was that came with the slab of ribs. She kept saying I had to pick a size. She walked away from me saying something to the other employees she could not deal with me.
Another lady was finishing my order & I stated I did not understand what is so hard to understand what I want. Both guys in the kitchen showed me the size that comes with the ribs. I said that is what I wanted.
3rd I wanted a sterofoam glass to get a fountain drink. She told me there were no lids. I asked if there were any bottle sodas. She answered, âNoâ. The guy in the kitchen once again interceded & said there were bottle sodas just to the left of me in the wall fridge unit.
Overall experience was not good. I wouldâve just walked out without ordering anything if it wasnât for the young men in the kitchen.
Will I return? I doubt it. Unless they get people to work at the counter that know how to deal with people & know what is in the store & what the menu says.
Do I recommend? Right now I say NO.
Iâve read so many bad reviews from the past. My friend still refuses to come & eat here. I understand why now. Iâve never eaten here before. It was my 1st time. Very disappointed.
