Today I was in Topeka from out of town for a medical appointment and finished late. Taco Tico has always a favorite since the 70’s so when I’m near one I try to stop by. I got there just after 7pm and there was a sign on the door saying that the dining room was closed, so I asked the person locking the door if it were possible to go ahead and use the dining room as I am traveling and don’t have much luck eating in the car. A lady quickly appeared at the door and said go through the drive through and started laughing. Taco Tico might as well shut the doors forever because this is a sign of a company near its end, well especially for me!

The food was okay. The building and seating were very much in disrepair. It was very sad. The employees were nice, but in a rush to close even though it was 7:30pm and customers were still coming in.

The food was horrible, meat had a weird taste in the tacos and their salsa was just tomato sauce. Visiting from Colorado and we wasted money at this restaurant. I don't even see how the locals can eat this stuff. Taco Bell does way better Job than this place.
