The Shack II Reviews
I'm visiting from Wisconsin. I love bar burgers. The Shack double cheese and chili fries exceeded my expectations. Well done my friends. I'll be back!
Worst meal since I moved to Topeka a year ago. The dinner nachos plate consisted of canned nacho cheese, chewy tortilla chips and flavorless sausage with some jalapeños thrown on top. The cheese was only on the top layer of chips and it wasn’t even heated. Seriously, if all you’re looking for is a domestic beer, go for it. Otherwise, you’re better off stopping at the Sonic down the road.
Waited for someone to take our order at 8pm on Sat. No one ever came to take our order. This is the second time this has happened to us. We decided to leave and go elsewhere. Disappointing. We usually have good food there but seems like they do not want our business. The place was not crowded at all so didn’t see any reason why they did not serve us.

The Shack II is a local restaurant that offers a variety of delicious food options. A recommended dish is the Philly cheese steak, which is even better with added onions, peppers (jalapeño), onion rings, and fried mushrooms. The restaurant is known for its great burgers and cold beer, making it an excellent place to stop by after running errands or for a casual meal. The atmosphere has a friendly, laid-back vibe with a hidden gem dive bar feel, featuring a gravel driveway and a sign that might seem sketchy at first glance. Inside, the environment is welcoming, and the food is well worth the visit. Service is commendable, with staff providing prompt and attentive care. Customers appreciate the reasonable prices and the kid-friendly menu. Recent reviews highlight the good quality of wings and burgers, with some mentioning that the place is a great local spot to eat. There have been some minor issues, such as extra charges for paying with a card, limited drink refills, and extra fees for sauce, along with occasional menu items being out of stock. Overall, The Shack II remains a popular destination for delicious, affordable meals in a relaxed setting, with friendly service and a unique ambiance that make for a memorable dining experience.
