For years Lamar’s west was my favorite. To be honest I wouldn’t touch Lamar’s east with a 10’ pole. The ladies that ran that store would smoke in the back room where the donuts are on racks and would lick their fingers if they got icing on them. The BEST donut shop in the city. Fluffy and delicious plus the sweetest employees.
Lamas has the best service and I love their products. All of them. Especially the apple fritters and donut holes.

The store is clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly, working hard to ensure a good experience even when close to closing time. The apple fritters are as big as a face, bear claws are huge, and the cinnamon rolls are gigantic. While a bit pricey, the specialty donuts are worth it. The staff also provides great recommendations and has a rewards program that offers free donuts fairly often. The take-out window is not yet open, but customers can always special order ahead for custom creations, including their special giant birthday donut.
