The Snack Shack in Wilson is a hidden gem known for its amazing burgers at great prices. This cute little stop along the Old US 40 serves delicious food with a friendly atmosphere. The spicy chicken finger basket and cheeseburger were served hot and were a hit with customers. The staff is very friendly and inviting, making each visit enjoyable. The pork tenderloin sandwich is real meat and delicious, while the hamburgers are better than your normal burger, especially since they toast the bun, which makes a big difference. The condiment to meat to bun ratio is perfect. Milkshakes are thick and creamy, and the chocolate shake and cherry limeade are highlights. Even when close to closing, no one is turned away, showing the popularity of this place. It has a community notice board full of local news and upcoming events. This small hometown eatery is a must-stop for road-trippers passing through Wilson and is definitely worth the short drive off the interstate.
