“Lucky Star is the best Chinese food I've ever eaten! The ingredients are always fresh and never tastes too salty. My Dr said I needed to eat lots of Broccoli so I get Roast Pork and Broccoli every week for my liver, which has helped so much over the past year. Joy and her family are wonderful and always welcoming. We love taking company there or getting take-out for our family gatherings. I highly recommend Lucky Star and encourage everyone to please support this local business. I don't know what I would do without it!”

“Good place. We had a friendly guy running the taps. Knew the beers well. The upcoming beer for the walnut valley festival was tapped early and was delicious! Good stop on a tour around KS of breweries.”

“A great addition to Winfield and a welcome change from fast food. I ordered the Hibachi Steak which was ready in ten minutes. Flavorful, tender large pieces of steak and vegetables along with a generous portion of fried rice. Looking forward to my next visit.”

“We had dinner and drinks on Friday evening. The service was impeccable (thank you Nikki) and the food was great. Highly recommend the catfish and jerk chicken. The fries and onion rings are homemade and were amazing! Definitely a hidden gem. We will return soon.”

“I had the Sloppy Jalopy, which was a French dip on steroids - tender, juicy roast beef plus sautéed mushrooms and caramelized onions, with American cheese. That probably wouldn't be my first choice but somehow it works. I'm a French fry snob and coated French fries are not my favorite but these were good enough and the sauce was tasty. Highly recommended!”

“The best burger I have had anywhere! Any time I’m in the Winfield area we buy bags full, freeze them and take them to St Louis and Chicago. My aunt was the very first customer! She skipped school just to take that honor.”

“Delicious food with a pot of hot tea. The bowl of soup was so large I took part of it home. You can go through the buffet or order a la carte. Dine in or carry out. Very reasonable prices. Excellent customer service with a gracious host. I have been waited on before, but never served with this level of care even at expensive restaurants. A pleasant experience all the way around.”

“As far as I'm concerned this is 1 of thre best subways I have found. The employees are awesome, they fix the subs great, it always clean and just overall good place.

“This place is fast in the morning but wen it hits around 10:25 ish loads of people come in. Probibly to get breakfast before it hits 11. That’s wen lunchtime only starts. Faster to go inside.”

“I went to Taco Bell last night after I ordered online at 11:20pm. I get off work at 11 and I was ravenous. When I got to taco bell, they informed me sadly, over the intercom, they had no meat. None.
I despaired. I actually thought I might cry. I rolled up the window to curse. Then I asked for a refund. They had me pull around were the manager, Crystal, told me they needed me to cancel the order online to refund it, otherwise if I waited until 12 it would do so automatically. Unfortunately, I left my data-less phone at home and needed the money back quickly to see if Wendy's could feed me. The manager Crystal offered to cook me all fresh meat and did so QUICKLY. She is spectacular. She solved the problem without a hint of upset, and I am so grateful to that woman.”

“College Hill Coffee is the quintessential local coffee shop. Their coffee and baked goods are delicious and unmatched. Go sit out on the porch in the spring or by the fireplace in the fall and try one of their specialty drinks.”
