“If you're in Bardstown or nearby, make sure to visit Primo Cafe. No exaggerating: the pizza Margherita was the closest I've had to a Neapolitan pizza (which I've been lucky to taste) and the Spaghetti dish with the meat sauce was light and tasty. Try the Tiramisu, too: very good. The other great thing about the restaurant was the service: fast, efficient and authentically friendly. It's a small restaurant so make sure to reserve a table, because you don't want to miss the experience!“

“When visiting the Oscar Getz Museum couldn't get any better, just wait until you enjoy The Rickhouse.Tucked on the left side of Spaulding House through the metal gates is a door for The Rickhouse. Duck your head a bit if you are 6 feet tall or more, and then down the stairs to the host stand. We did not have reservations, so we were seated in the Lounge area, which is no problem at all.Our Server, Tatiana, took us through the menu, and we dug in. Shared the Warm Brie Salad to start, and dove into the Sirloin. The sides here are perfect to share as well. If you pass up on the 11 Cheese Mac and Cheese, you have missed an experience. The secret to that dish is it has 12 cheeses (Thanks for that Tatiana!).We did not save enough room for dessert, so we cannot comment on that.Funny how I haven't mentioned Bourbon yet...yeah, the list is extensive and includes all the local Bardstown distilleries and proper prices. When you include the atmosphere, people, chef, barkeeps, and slowing down for a bit, you cannot find a better place in Bardstown.“
