“I love this restaurant, it has one of the most thoughtful atmospheres, lovely staff to converse with whether it be about things happening in life or the menu, and the Food is very unique compared to anything else in Lexington. That being said, several of the dishes lack diversity. If you order the Rip and Roti and the rice bowl, know you’re getting two orders of the rip and roti essentially, just ones over rice with green beans and one is with bread. I ordered the Rip and Roti, The rice bowl, the shrimp toast, and the crab pasta with my wife, and the initial wow was great. The appetizers hit a fun mellow flavor profile that spoke of comfort and easy days in the sun. The only downside is that the flavors tend to blend together where nothing really stands out. If you takeaway a dish home, I helped it with some lime juice and it helped the dish tremendously. I think if they added a bit of vibrancy to the dishes as a garnish… Lime, pickles/pickled something (the onions might be picked but don’t add the acidity that would give the flavors that vibrance), or something with a bit of acidity, or maybe a fruit garnish/chutney. I think that would really help to diversify the dishes and make each one pop on its own.“

“The taco flights (The Filthy Fajita, The Smokeshow and The Gangsta) were Amazing as was our appetizer (Shrimp Rangoon Bites)!! Strawberry Bombshell on the rocks was definitely the bomb! Speaking of being the bomb, gotta give it up to our server Tonni and the general manager Nick who were both so nice, helpful and accommodating!! We will definitely be repeat customers! Let me first say, I visited the Broadway location on 1/19/25 and cannot wait to come back. The environment was great including the decor and the staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I had the breakfast tacos and took home the chicken salad and it was amazing. I couldn't leave without snagging a couple cups, hoodie, and a sticker. Having a passion for those in recovery (I have 12.5 years myself) I couldn't wait to get myself in this place and now I can't wait to come back!!“

“Old School Coffee is a must-visit spot in Lex! The baristas are so fun and love to chat whenever you visit. This coffee shop is in a beautiful "old school" building that is fun to explore. All of their drinks are school-themed, and they always have a drink of the week that is a must-try! Definitely give this place a try!“

Parking was a bit confusing, but the warm atmosphere and the interesting brewing/distilling history display made it well worth the visit. Left with a few beers to take home — all delicious!

“I brought my kiddos here with me as a Valentine's treat today, and the staff made them feel right at home. Nothing but props and kindness when my 9-year-old son confidently ordered hot chocolate with marshmallows, straight espresso, and bought a 95% dark chocolate bar. One of the employees even overheard my daughter ask to go grab a water from the counter and brought it to her before she had the chance to ask. It can be nerve wracking to take your children out. Not here. They already want to go back. 😄 Oh, and the taste? My daughter called it, and I quote, "The BEST hot chocolate I've ever had." My son says he wants to make this our official coffee spot. Good people and yummy drinks. ✨“

“Was at proud Mary's for mothers day and had an wonderful time. Food was amazing. Upstairs bathroom was super clean. Out side area was super clean staff was also amazing and super clean. I see comments about an bathroom being not so clean. Well here is what I have to say don't let your children stuff whole roles of butt paper in the John's and if u make a mess let some one know. And the place is very old and down stair is an over flow restroom u would be complaining if it was closed. Yes it has water in floor but also seen a boy and girl playing in sink and stall. Over 5 out of if I could give 6 stars I would.“

“I really love this spot. I love their flights and trying their wide variety of beers. I really like their sour, IPAs, and their Amber. I’m not a huge stout-lover, but I really liked what I tried. They even cycle in seasonal drinks too! I really liked the apple cider bourbon slushy they had, too, which was a pleasant surprise that I didn’t see coming!!

They have a lot of different areas to sit so it’s not super crowded with tons of people standing and blocking walkways, which was also nice! I had a delicious burger from the restaurant next door (they bring food over to the brewery) and it had great beer cheese!

They also had LOTS of power outlets, so I was able to get work done on my laptop! The employees were also fun to talk to and very kind. All around, it was a nice place to visit!“

“Chelsea our server was great and she made great recommendations. We tried the pretzel sticks with beer cheese, these are the best ever. Boone fries, the pimento cheese dog and the spicy chicken sandwich. The blackberry jalapeño sauce is soooo good!! Would definitely eat there again. Everything we had was really good. I don’t think their pricing is higher than anywhere else. Eating out in general is not cheap!!“

“First timing trying this place. Fill place, feels like a neighborhood spoke with some unique dishes on the menu.

I got the Lumberjack burger. It came out raw, ordered it medium. They took it back I expected a new burger, the simply further cooked the burger. This time it was well done. Not a big deal flavor was still there, juicy and well seasoned. However, I think much of the Beer cheese had cooked off.

We got the salad with orange vinaigrette and it was very good. The squash soup was also nice on a snowy day.

Service was excellent and enjoyed the experience. The only negative was the burger cook and the not getting a new burger. Just kind of pointless to ask for how I’d like it cooked.

Would eat here again though“
