Located right in the heart of downtown Versailles inside a beautifully restored historic building, it truly feels like one of the local hotspots where the community gathers each morning.

The coffee was excellent, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the outdoor patio right on Main Street was the perfect place to sit, relax, and enjoy a cup of coffee together. It has that authentic small-town Kentucky charm that’s hard to find anymore.

If you’re visiting the Versailles area, exploring Kentucky bourbon country, or just looking for a great local coffee shop with character, great drinks, and a relaxing atmosphere, I would highly recommend The Amsden. Definitely one of the coolest coffee spots in Central Kentucky. Highly recommend!“

Food and atmosphere (lunch) was great - but we ordered their GF pizza to go to have later for dinner and OMG!!! I have been GF for 30 years and have been searching for good GF pies all over the US as we travel- and this was by far the very best I’ve ever had. Just incredible. Sad that we only have 1 more day to enjoy Lexington- I might order another to bring home!“

Their rare and hard to find plants are an experience. The unique gift shop is also fun and whimsical. Also, prefer to support family own business vs big box stores.“
