Donuts near Ashland

“Honestly, we stopped in this place because of the name. We love anything pirate related! They were pretty busy both in the drive-thru and inside. The service was great though! We had never been here and we were taking longer than we probably should, but there were so many options to choose from that we couldn't make up our minds. A line had already formed behind us, but the lady waiting on us was very patient with us and didn't make us feel rushed. Unfortunately, the counter area was closed so we couldn't eat inside. They had a little covered patio outside that we sat at, but it was a little chilly so we didn't stay long. The donuts were amazing! I loved that they weren't super sweet and sugary like most donuts. They had great flavor and tasted fresh. The custard filled ones had the perfect ratio of custard to donut. We ended up getting a dozen so we could try a variety (and because they came in a treasure chest looking box) I couldn't even pick a favorite, I loved them all! Coffee was delicious too! Wish we had a place like this back home! Will definitely stop in if we are ever in Ashland again!“

“My first experience was with unglazed sour cream donuts. Arrive very early or order ahead. They disappear quickly. Whether you want a breakfast treat, cookies a cake or a pie head to Dave's for a special taste. Delicious no matter what you choose!“

“I’m a creature of habit, and my habit has been stopping here for lunch on Wednesdays for a long time. So, I’m quite qualified for the review. It’s simple… The food is amazing, and I’ve yet to eat something I didn’t enjoy. There is a unique skillset in this establishment that is unmatched. I’d highly recommend stopping in for carry out lunch. You won’t be disappointed… don’t forget to take some cookies home too. They ARE better than your Grandma’s. I promise you.“
