A must try! Bardstown KY💖

Great location in Bardstown. Warm and welcoming interior. Aimee made our experience special. She shared the history of the restaurant and answered all my questions. She was also very knowledgeable about the menu, making good recommendations for us. Great Old Fashioned cocktails, delicious salmon dinner... and yes, we gave in to the bourbon bread pudding for dessert. This was our first visit, but won't be our last.

Made reservations on our trip back home from Lexington. It’s such a quiet and cozy location. Staff were amazing, very conversational without being annoying or intrusive. The catfish appetizer was really a highlight! But so were the biscuits and sorghum butter. Dinner was the chef’s steak special, a 10-ounce NY Strip that was really delicious prepared with a reduction In pretty sure and big enough to bring leftovers home. The pairing with the mushrooms was unusual for my palate (white whine and tomatoes) almost competing for attention from the reduction used on the steak and the fingerling potatoes could have used a pinch or 2 of salt. Constructive feedback: bring up the lighting! It’s very dark for reading menus or seeing food. (We eat with our eyes 1st). Offer some cocktails on the menu that don’t include bourbon (I know but I don’t drink bourbon). Would love to stop by again on a future visit!

Food options were limited. I had the Gnocchi with mushrooms, he had the meatloaf. The actual gnocchi was good but served lukewarm. The mushrooms in it were a weird consis. He loved his food especially the feta on the green beans and it was piping hot. Service was great.

Opentable Diner

Overpriced for what you get. Friends ordered meat loaf and when it came out it was the size of a hockey puck with mashed potatoes for 25$. We ordered the gnocchi ragu and added chicken, sauce was very thin and the chicken had bones in it. We also the steak not worth 34$. To bad it's a cool place, service was great and it was part of the motor lodge we stayed at.

Beautiful place with an even nicer atmosphere. They offer classic and signature drinks. The food is amazing but make sure you save room for dessert.

I got sick after eating at the restaurant with GI issues all night. My wife and I think it's the appetizer crab cakes we ordered. She had one piece and had a tummy ache and I ate the rest they made my stomach twisted and painful and went several times to use the toilet to pass it all out. Aside from that, I had the catfish and the wifey had the steak which were really good. Service was good. It was too dark to see your food as there was only one battery powered light on our table. Food prices were very reasonable!

Everything was perfect! Our server Autumn was amazing! I'd been resisting dining at Toogie's Table. I am a local in Bardstown and had not heard many positive things since it first opened. However, I always saw a full parking lot. Since I had friends coming to visit, one of whom is a vegetarian, I decided to make the leap. Of the places I would take my friends in Bardstown this place had the most vegetarian options. We had a collection of things. Three appetizers, two desserts and one entrée. Not everyone was hungry for a full meal, but we wanted a nice place to visit, nibble and drink. Toogies was perfect. The deviled eggs as an appetizer were delicious. The hush puppies with country ham were delightful – I would've liked to have had a little more pimento cheese on them. And everyone at the table raved about the beer cheese, especially paired with the toasted pita bread they offered. The entrée was a New York strip with whole button mushrooms in a wine sauce. It was an excellent medium rare, rather large and very good. One person got an old-fashioned made with Monks Road small batch bourbon and it was one of the sweetest old-fashioned I've ever tasted. The two desserts we tried were the House Divided Cheesecake, which was a small piece of mixed berry cheesecake and a small piece of turtle cheesecake. Combined made a nice size shareable dessert. The other was a pie made with autumn, spices, pears, and pecans. It was unique and delicious. The entire night was delightful. Our server Autumn knew of the severe food allergy one person has and assured us she and the chef were aware and all was safe. Autumn made excellent suggestions, was attentive and extraordinarily hospitable. It was a perfect night with dear friends! Thank you!!

It is a beautiful place. We had beer cheese and that was good but did not actually taste like beer cheese, more like just melted cheese. The salmon was ok, the risotto was cold, mushy and tasted like nothing. I asked for mashed potatoes instead and they were hot but had zero flavor. They told me they make the risotto in a large batch and they should dig it up from the bottom so it isnt cold but they didn't. I was shocked, that definitely is NOT how you make risotto. The carrots were ok but not seasoned. The meatloaf was not bad. The corn bread muffins are the driest I have ever had. The bread pudding was very over done and they use a very bitter chocolate. Overall the dinner was extremely disappointing. I do not recommend and I will not return.

An incredible dining experience. Autumn was an exceptional server and the chef really went above and beyond to provide exquisite food.

Food was very good. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. The lighting is a bit dark outside making it hard to see the sign for the entry though.

We arrived at Toogie's Table were promptly seated when we arrived, we did have a reservation. Amy was our waitress and she was fantastic. Glasses never reached half full/empty, she was polite, monitored but didn't hover. Excellent service from Amy. We ordered the hush puppies + macaroni & cheese as appetizers. Both were fantastic. We ordered 4 entrees; the salmon, the chefs special, and two pork chops. Everyone loved their meals. The salmon was cooked perfectly--it exploded with flavor, the pairing with the risotto was great. The steak was cooked as requested and had excellent flavor. The Pork, don't get me started on the pork chops. These were the best pork chops we have ever had. They were thick, moist, and bursting with savory flavors. The balsamic and feta cheese green beans paired nicely with each plate. We finished with the possum pie and the bread pudding. WOW! Those were both fantastic. This place is a gem with excellent food and staff. 10/10.

Toogie's Table is a hidden gem of a restaurant in an area desperate for great dining. Bardstown has the tourist base that can support way more choices than are available. This was a lucky find! The building is an old house with all the charm one looks for in the southern dining experience. The food selection, while not wide, was excellent. Choosing from really inventive gnocchi, a chef's choice steak special or the high-quality meatloaf or burger, wasn't easy. Above all, the fresh green salad was delicious. The dessert menu, if you have saved room, is not the be missed. Particularly the cheesecake topped two ways. The drink menu was geared to the sensibilities of a whiskey fans. The Black Manhattan is a must! No review is complete without a nod to the excellent service. Our waitress was extraordinary. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. When I asked why the place wasn't absolutely teeming with people, she said that they meter their guests through the reservation system, to insure everyone has the personal service and a great experience. Mission accomplished!

Amy was the most phenomenal server!! She took care of all of our needs. I have a shellfish allergy, and she went out of her way to ensure everything was safe. Jimmy, GM, exception service. Chef and kitchen crew, amazingly on point!!
