“We visited here before a play at the Aronoff, a 2 block walk. Our server was excellent. I had an Old Fashioned and the pastrami special , very good. However the half chicken was a bit dry, and overpriced at $30. The other meals at the table were good, it being Friday lent the menu was a bit “
“The food was all delicious - including our schnitzel sandwich + side of kasespatzel, pretzel + beer cheese, and Hawaiian Flammkuchen. Our 6 month old sends compliments to the owner and chef for being so helpful for her to have some plain cooked carrots! Service was incredible and friendly and we definitely will need to return!“
“The yuca fries and shishito peppers were a great start to the meal. Comes out hot with a great dipping sauce. The classic burger was excellent. Juicy, cheesy, stacked with a proper bun. Good beer selection and Celia our server was top notch. Attentive, helpful, punctual with a great personality to match. Highly suggest you brave the parking sitch at lunch time and grab a table, you won't be disappointed. Open till 9 so I'll be back for seconds soon“
“This place is special. For our first visit, we selected 5 items from the menu for take out and each of them were very, very good. The only conversation we made for that hour was about the food itself. We were elated. Thoughtfully and carefully conceived and prepared, this food was a delightful experience.Do you know how sometimes a bite is so good that it will cause you to pause from chewing any further until the quiet ahhh and mmmm you involuntarily uttered have passed and with another bite comes the realization some manner of stress has left you? Thankfully, dining encounters like these are on par with some spiritual and sensual encounters fleeting as they may sometimes be. We will return with the hope that Kiki might give us this again.“
“For a place that is clearly listed as a bar it has incredible food. It's a cool neighborhood bar that seems to have plenty of locals I went there with a few friends to try the food and I must say the Pork Schnitzel Sandwich and the Giant Pretzel with Beer Cheese were incredible. If you are looking for a fun hangout with a cool outdoor area and good food it's worth a visit. One note is the place is small so it can get pretty cramped in the small indoor space they have.“
“It looks like a dive bar from the outside, and well, it looks like a dive bar inside. But solid food, especially the deep fried cheese coney. It's dark and a bit loud, but see my dive var description in the open. There is a cool wall of tv's showing an aquarium scene in the back.“
“Where to start on this unassuming restaurant. It has been on our list to try for a good while since it is near where we live and I'm so thrilled that we finally made it. I wasn't expecting the local art which is awesome and the mural on the fence in back which tells the story of the restaurant and created by Michael C. (bartender). The smells that came from the kitchen were deliciously enticing and looking over the menu I knew a couple things we wanted to try. So what did we have? First off the Pretzel Nugs with house-made beer cheese and roasted garlic caramel. I loved the roasted garlic caramel so much I asked for a jar to take home, it is that good! Trust me :) They had blackened mahi mahi tacos, house-made pico and they were delectable and juicy.Michael was gracious to explain the concoctions. To drink I had the Blue Mountain Hop which has duck fat infused Bulleit bourbon, pecan liqueur, sweet vermouth and orange and he had The Nightosphere which is blackberry infused El Jimador blanco, house-made cranberry & basil liqueur, sour, and grenadine in a Himalayan pink salt rimmed glass. Very tasty and clever drinks!I had the Cemita which is a lightly breaded buttermilk fried chicken cutlet with oaxaca cheese, red onion and cilantro and he had the short rib mac and cheese which has smoked Gouda and cheddar with Mr. Pibb braised beef short rib with fried shallots.Shout out to Arlena our lovely and friendly server, Michael C the artist and bartender and Mike W who we indulged us with more information about the food and restaurant. We will definitely be back and if you haven't been you need to check it out! Many thanks!!“
“Always love it here but love even more to find out they do theme drinks for the theater across the street. This will get me here every show! Otherwise I enjoy an afternoon or early evening at the bar, with a few drinks and a cheese tray. Love cutting the cheese with friends. Saw a tiny lady get the largest sandwich I ever saw. Turns out she shared it, but it was big enough for a family of four! She didn't even finish her half. Huge portions are a turn off for me.“
“We visited 9 Giant BC(before covid) and it was good but not special. We returned today and were pleasantly surprised. Very rarely does a microbrewery get better. If you are lucky a good one stays consistent and the rest get worse over time.Tasted all 10 on tap and every one was high quality. Not all my taste, but the Belgian wit, the west coast ipa and the Dunkel were outstanding.Congratulations and we wish you continued success!“
“New Orleans style food is my absolute favorite. Top of the list, so my bar is pretty high. This place crushed it. Starting off with the ONLY legitimately good tasting hurricane in the city, which was super exciting because I have been looking for one for forever. From there, my family shared all of the small plate dishes, and not one of them was bad. Straight hundreds across the board, loved every dish. In addition, the bread pudding and bourbon brownies were just incredible. Can't recommend this place enough!!“
“Old fashioned dive bar with exactly the food you'd expect. It's not going to win a chef competition but it doesn't have to. The food does the job and the drinks pick up the slack. Awesome bartenders and the place never gets too crowded.“
